Actually it's more correct to say the client INSTALLER is approx 1.1GB. The client itself is larger than that.

That is more correct, indeed.

Congratz Goblinworks! This is indeed a very special day. Can't wait to see you tomorrow on twitch.

Until the GW forums are up, is this an appropriate place to offer suggestions or post bugs? Or should those be sent directly to customer.support?

There's a bug report option in game

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

There's a bug reporting form within the application.

I'll be posting odds and ends from the Alpha Instructions document as I find them interesting.

Chat options are: Hex, Party, Local (about 50 yards), and Whisper (direct tells sent and received).

So far at least, no World Chat.

Taylor how large is the client itself?

I've been mulling it over, and while World Chat can be very convenient, I'm currently in favor of not having it. Too immersion-breaking.

Honestly, I don't care about world chat. I don't see how it can be so immersion breaking when people will be using world-spanning communications like the forums and Teamspeak anyways, but if so many folk are bothered by it, it's not gonna ruin my play.

Personally, I'd like to have it. It's fun to just have a general PFO "chat lobby".

Oh, hey, it's not possible to reset your keys, is it? 'Cause it ill suck majorly if I ind up trapped in WASD hen my "" key isn't orking. ;P

Somewhere in the various notes and web-pages I recall seeing something about making sure you have about 5GB free before installing.

Thanks for the updates like this Nihimon. This all very exciting stuff. :D

Congrats to GW. The time has finally come to allow players into the game. Only 10 days past what I heard was the expected alpha launch day. Still a very awesome thing going on.

Glad to hear no world chat as of yet, I am not a fan of it. But if it comes later, no big deal, just I vote against it.

I read through the whole blog and am happy to see the different things in there. I can't wait to watch the streams and read the updates as they come out. As soon as you get a more "exact" EE date your shooting for, feel free to let us know. Even if it is subject to change, any narrowing down that can be done will be appreciated, at least by me it will be :-)

Anyway, Congrats and well done.

My Twitch will be up in about 1.5 hours plus download time. It will run at least until about 7pm PDT, and possibly much later. I'll post a link here when it's about to go live.

It will be up here, expected in a matter of minutes.

I am beyond excited about this!! Watching DeciusBrutus' feed right now, and PFO is looking great!

Also, I have to say I am impressed with the amount of stuff already in the Alpha, great job GW!

Open Broadcaster Software. The stream doesn't (shouldn't) be catching the TeamSpeak audio, so there's missing context, but overall I'm satisfied.

I (and apparently a bunch of the devs) watched you play for a while Decius. It looked like OBS worked pretty well for you.

Ooh, I like those options, Hex and local. I hope we can make a custom channel for instance for Settlement members, or Company members.

I would understand that they would not want a billion custom channels to be made though, so maybe those two specific channels will be implemented at some time too, when those features are being fleshed out.

Looks like I caught up on blogs just in time:)

The client gets about 5-6GB when unpacked and installed.

Indeed, surprised there's not more complaints of rigs that just straight up aren't working.

Yes, it will likely be Wednesday until we are open on Wednesdays then we'll back it up as needed.
