Looking for Frontier campaign setting

I am converting an old campaign I wrote over to Pathfinder and need a location suitable for the following:

+ Frontier area with scattered villages
+ Forest that can be used to hold ruins and or artifacts that are Fey in nature
+ Large river splitting mountains from forest
+ Frontier was established by an existing, active kingdom

The main plot point is that <insert villian> is organizing bands of <insert monsters> to raid the frontier area in an attempt to <insert diabolical plan>.

I would like this take place in an existing part of the Pathfinder world and a major plus would be a campaign setting book to help flush out the environment.

You seem to be describing the area I'm using for my campaign! It's the area NW of Korvosa and west of Kaer Maga. That seems as if it might fit the bill as well.
