Liberty's Edge

Has anyone in PFS played with the beta version of Playsets? If so, how have you adapted your scenarios to fit the format and PFS RAW standards?

Took me a while to track down what you were talking about, but eventually I found their Kickstarter.

While interesting, there are logistical problems with using it for PFS, namely that using it would require EVERYONE involved to own an iPad (and at this point, be in the beta), so I highly doubt anyone has tried it for PFS, and I'm doubtful anyone ever will.

Beyond that, while the Kickstarter page mentions that they plan to support custom maps, the page leaves me with some doubts as to how easy it would be to do so, which is kinda a sticking point in PFS due to the "run-as-written" requirements.

Playsets is available on iPad, Android, and PC/Mac (through browser access). They are working on developing an app/program for PC/Mac to make it more accessible. I agree, their current limitations on customization make it less than ideal for PFS. I have attempted to convince them to make it far more customizable.

It looks cute. I might look into it for use in a future home game. I like drafting and designing cities.

But for PFS? I'll stick to drawing my maps on grid paper or flipmats.
