Legality Question

Pathfinder Society

I am looking to come to table with 2 traits. However, I don't have the book in question that 1 comes from. This is my first time playing PFS obviously.

Is there any way to have the trait legally without the book?

Which book is it from? I wouldn't advocate not having the correct book for anything else but for traits I think they tend to get given more of a pass (as they are less powerful usually). But I would say to make sure you are 100% certain its legal.

The PDF is usually the best/cheapest option if you are only looking for one or two small things from a book.

The only other options are to buy the PDF, or only ever play that PC when you're at the same table as a close friend or family member who does own the necessary book/PDF (and has it with them).

I suggest for looking up a site like www.archivesofnethys.com, when making characters.
All the sources are listed on the respective pages.

Once you have an ideal of what sources your character needs, you can follow Paz's advice and get the PDFs.

Planning ahead on what to get for your characters can help you save quite a bit of money.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I'm waiting on Amazon to drop the books off as we speak. Was hoping for a lower cost one time solution.
