Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

im sure there is a post answering all of this, but im unsure of where its located, there was an announcement made about character decks that would be appearing come skull and shackles, was wondering what all the specific details are, like what exactly are they, when will they be available, will they be part of the subscription for each month or 2? any other subscription based items for the future or items period?

The Class Decks haven't been formally solicited yet, so they don't have product pages our our website yet. You can read more about them in this blog post and the discussion thread attached to it.

The Class Decks will not be part of the PACG subscription, though subscribers who order them will have their subscriber discount applied to them.

After RotR finishes, we'll roll into the Skull & Shackles AP with subscribers receiving the Base Set and the Character Add-On Deck in August, with Adventure Decks 2 through 6 following monthly, until we hit the third AP in February, which is...

Spoiler:
...going to be announced at PaizoCon.

Where and when will that announcement be made? I am going and would like to be there as this will be my first major convention ever.

Likely the banquet, that is when most of the Paizocon announcements are historically made.

For those of us that live in Europe and can't get to things like conventions:

when is Paizocon, and will all the various goodies of information be making their way onto the web shortly after?

This thread makes me wonder how preordering the class decks will work with Gen Con pickup - I'm hoping I can set the preorder to "ship with my subscription" and then when I toggle my sub for con pickup the class decks will be held too.

Vic said over here that you couldn't reserve anything other than the sub order. So class decks can't be reserved. But your discount will apply if you want to purchase them there.

So your options for the class decks are:

1. Pre-order (assuming they are up for pre-order before GenCon) and just let them get delivered to you.

2. Purchase them during GenCon. For any that you aren't fortunate enough to find in stock, order them online right then.

Now, back to PaizoCon. Which PACG fan attending PaizoCon is going to take responsibility for live tweeting the announcement?

When you make purchases at Gen Con, your appropriate discounts still apply. The system generates an order just like you purchased it online. The only difference is that you will have to pay the 7% sales tax. You just need to give the friendly person ringing you up your e-mail address that you use on paizo.com.

I expect that if you purchase character decks at Gen Con and you are a PACG subscriber, you will get 20% off the retail price for those decks (and any PACG playmats and card sleves you purchase from Paizo).

Hawk, there should be a thread running with live updates, works for those without twitter as well.

Sara Marie has been very good at providing live updates to the forums in previous years, though I don't think that was in an official capacity. Someone will start a thread during the banquet and keep us updated with the big news, I'm sure of it.

Excellent. That is all I wanted to hear.

Well, I'm not in a position to promise, of course. But there's generally been a couple of threads going with people posting announcements as they happen...

Yeah, Vic has said that you'll get the subscriber discount at GenCon. And the other difference is that you'll be paying the local sales tax but you'll save the shipping cost.

I'm hoping that the Class Decks are ready after PaizoCon but before GenCon. I'm still debating on bringing RotR set versus just playing the new S&S set with my friends at GC14.

The Class Decks should release alongside Skull & Shackles.

I dunno if you are flying or driving, but the RotR set takes up a good amount of luggage space. Between the Pathfinder Adventure Card Guild slots (Have tickets for four adventures, get a free Class deck!) and the actual S&S box, I imagine you and your friends will have plenty of PACG to play at the con. :)

The suspense is killing me!!! And I don't even know the difference from one adventure path to the next!!!
