So this is it, this is the recruitment post that you have been waiting your whole life to read. Just make sure you are sitting down, and maybe make sure you have an extra pair of pants near by.

First... read This
Then read This

Now imagine yourself in the river kingdom, its hot, its muggy, and you have had just about enough of toiling endlessly in the mountains to find the one stupid vein of worthwhile ore in the entire range, when you catch a glimpse of something in the shadows. You freeze... what was it? An Animal? Ghost? A horrible animated clone of your cousin that you took to festival last year and totally kissed, but deny vehemently?!?

BAM!!!

Doesn't matter because if your in the Kabal you don't date your cousins, or your about to jump out of the shadows and atomize some slaver kidneys. No respectable miner wears tights....

Now back to this (No seriously I know where that one goes).

So we are looking for a few good men, women or others who want to join a group that has been around forever, and operates more like a family (complete with dysfunctionality) than anything else. Should join up and send me a message with whatever info you think I might like to know.

Any smaller groups that want to be truly become a part of a larger one, rather than just get absorbed and forgotten seek me out as well.

There will be other members of this guild posting here as references. Some longtime members, some more recent.

If you have questions. I have answers.

* We have none of these things. Well we do have several large unlabeled cans that have Grade A stamped on them. I wrote the rest in marker.

The second link led me to Convent pornography so I have to say that if I was not already in another player organisation I would be very interested.

Now let me klick some more.

Goblin Squad Member

Really.. that's awesome. I keep getting famous dead people.

You can bring the whole organization ;)

Goblin Squad Member

I've added your Guild to the Guild Recruitment & Helpful Links list. If you have a brief description you'd like to appear there to let people know about your guild while they're browsing that list, just PM me or post a clear request here.

Goblin Squad Member

So, what is your schtick for PfO? What can your group offer that the other groups can't?

Also, about how big is the group? Do you plan on running a settlement by yourselves, or do you plan on running a "federated settlement" with other groups?

Basically asking for more of the essential information on what your group plans to do in PfO, and what makes it stand out.

Well I can answer a few of those questions, and seeing as how Sun asked some of us to stop by that thread to elaborate and do just that I will give you some insight.

Some quick info.
I will be one of the council members leading the crafting side of the guild. While I enjoy a good hunt, I like making things.

We will have several branches of the guild catering to basically anything that members are interested in that has more than two or three people. So I will likely end up paired with another council member to run trade and crafting for the guild, or company as they will be called. Together we will organize with the other guild branches to focus on what is needed to advance the guild to the next milestone.

If that means that we need to coordinate with the military arm of the guild for escort/protection, or with the mages branch for magical aid or resources then we will do so with the leaders of those branches.

All guild members can be part of one or more branches, depending on their interests. All players based on their activity levels will be as involved as possible.

That means if I have 3 or 4 crafters and one is only available for a few hours a week, they will be given tasks/activities that can be done in that time frame, and we will try to coordinate with the other branches as needed for resources/people/etc. to make the whole strong than its parts.

Its all very good in theory right? Its something we have done in EVE, Warcraft, Star Wars, etc. We are a flexible group, and will easily change a process or methodology to what will work for that game.

The leaders of the guild want nothing more than for everyone to have fun first and formost, but for any game that means accomplishing things. Be id downing bosses, creating remote space outposts, or just killing things (I will let you guess which of those Sunn likes to do).

The plan is to have our own settlement, though it may work out that we pick up some small groups who need a slightly bigger group to make some waves with. We have picked up other guilds/corporations in the past and brought them in, giving them council reprensation right off the bat so they have an voice and are not lost or feel they have not been welcomed into the fold.

We just moved to a new website to organize across multiple games, so there will be a fair amount of crossover. I personally do not know how many of the guild are set up for EE, so participating in the land rush will be a little tricky for us. But I do know that we have well over 25 people that did the kickstarter and will be filtering in as things progress. Others wanted to wait for the game to come out to decide.

As for why you would want to join us, if you want a excellent group of friends to enjoy this game with, and a group that will push your skills, and help you pursue whatever weird ass goal you decide to come up with. This is them.

As for political goals, or what exactly we are going to be 'trying to accomplish' I will leave that to another council member. As for me and my area of the guild, we will be looking to build and trade. Anything and everything that we can, a lot depends on where we end up no?

I know the guild will have a NG alignment. IE we are overall good, but with no particular set in stone rules or laws other than what the members themselves decide are necessary.

I hope that helps, and I look forward to meeting all of you in game, presuming you buy something I made. ;)

Oh yeah.

Welcome and good luck!

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks!

A couple people have asked in PM, so I will elaborate a bit.

We intend to have our hands into a little of everything. What specifically we 'specialize' in is not set in stone. Obviously it will depend on where we end up, what resources are available to us, who our friendly (or jackhole) neighbors are, and how many people in the guild want to do any one thing.

We do have pretty much all the bases covered for general interest. Military/Protection, Magic/Research, Craft/Trade, Politics/being a crappy bard (I hate bards.. sorry Keith).

We are spread pretty evenly across that I think, with maybe a leaning toward the magic side of things. If goddess does all the recruiting though we will be a bunch of hippies making tie-dye armor in the woods somewhere. Which is fine, because its more insulting when I kill you decked out in tie-dyed peace signs.

As for general alignment, or political/social intentions. We are all looking to be good in general, but nobody is perfect. We will make alliances or go to war as makes sense or is necessary. We are a mature group of individuals looking to be a have some fun and be a little crazy, but not to be anonymous online jerks who make people want to quit the game. In fact that's one of the few things we will kick you out and kill you repeatedly for.

We would like to invite and smaller groups to join us either in whole, or as a close member of the family where we can set you up with a provisional freehold sort of thing. Details can be worked out and are flexible (the same way I like my wenches).

That is all for now.

Goblin Squad Member

I do not know how long you have been lurking. I encourage you to read the blogs. At least from Jan '13, but all the way back when you have a spare day. At an absolute minimum this one relates to crafting. I think it works differently than you may think. One need not be on all the time to craft. And this about gaining experience, whether logged on or not.

Also check out Nihimon's list (liked to above in his post).

Take a look as Keeper of the Circle as a community you may want to join. Going it as a community of 15 or so may be challenging, not first day, but soon after.

Nice, Kabal entering the charts at spot 26! I think we will see some changes next voting.

Welcome, guys and gals!

Oh snap... go put your name on the guild roster slacker. And update your forum name to have the guild tag.

Before I send the send him round in the chaps.

Goblin Squad Member

Cool. Just looking to help you out in recruiting efforts; I know when I went looking for info it took a little digging, so I figured having that stuff more visible for others might help. :)

Goblin Squad Member

No problem. We typically don't plaster ourselves all over either, but given the current events, we decided to just roll with it.

That and it helps me shame my guild mates who have not yet gone through all the setps for the land rush.... *cough*hunterc311*cough*

Welcome to the River Kingdoms, Sunnfire and G7goddess!

Straight in at no 26; that's a good early start.
I believe you may qualify for a settlement if you're still at that ranking by the end of the week. Don't forget to tell GW your preferred starting hexes, in priority order.

It does me good to see a good-aligned guild. Hopefully we'll have a future of mutual aid and cooperation ahead.

I present you both with your welcome pack of Ferrero Rocher and a cuckoo clock. (In-joke, that someone described us as 'The Swiss' for our attempt to maintain a neutral stance)

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks Snorter.. but its 24th now, we will be higher by the end of the week as more of our people trickle in.

I am indeed setting our preferred starting hexes, as we just had a meeting on that very subject and talked so much theoretical strategy that I think we would have been better off throwing darts.

But selections have been made. I imagine things could get interesting.

Hopefully some more of us will swing by and say hi, we seem to be a forum-shy bunch.

Which I can't blame them for, given the general nature of internet forums.

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Yes, there's certainly some 'characters' here, to be sure.

I think things will soon get 'interesting', in the Chinese sense of the word.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm not comfortable with my swinging skills, but I'm pretty sure I can say hi. Lemme try.

ho.

crap, hang on...

i.

why the heck is this so hard?

h....h.... ha?

wait! let me copy and paste from my first sentence!

hi.

Yes! Victory!

Put your Kabal tag on chuckles.

Make sure you listen to episode 13 of the Gobbocast. It will really help you figure out your crafting and what kinds of hexes you want and what you think you might be able to grab and hold.

Kabal
Settlement: Still being debated (viciously, someone is going to loose an eye)
Alignment: NG
Player Roles: Yes
Motto: Honor, Valor, Loyalty
Purpose: Provide safety, stability, and freedom.
History: The Kabal has been around for years, across multiple games. Generally a small and tightly knit group, and kept that way on purpose. With PFO especially, but other games as well, swinging back toward requiring large groups to be effective at the high end level of gameplay we are moving into a more organized structure and reaching out more publicly than ever before to find more members.

General Outlook: We are all here to have fun, and kick ass at whatever we do. We do not believe in micro managing, but do believe in setting a clear goal for everyone to work toward. We all promote a friendly and fun, if slightly crazy, atmosphere for everyone who interacts with us. Be it as allies or enemies. We do not support or tolerate any sort of OOG destructive behavior.

Who Should Join: Anyone who wants. We are a pretty open group of people, and it will be quickly apparent (to both sides of the equation) whether or not you should remain with us.

Leadership:
The High Council is composed of three members who between them oversee the Council, overall direction and lead the members of the Kabal.

The Council is composed of a varying number of members based on the High Council's and the Kabal's needs. Council members can be from charter companies, allies, or the Kabal itself. Each council member handles the day to day activities of their position as well as directly advise the high council.

We will have several groups within the Kabal focused on different areas, led by one or more council members. Military, Crafting, Trade, Drinking, Diplomancy (its not spelled wrong...its a long story), Magic, Research, Monster Hunting, Exploring, Drinking, Feasting, Wenching, Drinking.

Play styles: All. We have people who we only see a couple times a month, to people we are not sure know what sleep is. We also have people who are only interested in PVP, and people who only want to build/craft and trade, and people in the middle.

Other stuff:
Mumble Server: All members are encouraged to use the server whenever they are gaming (regardless of what they are playing). Members are required to use the server for guild events (Raids, PVP, council meeting, etc.). The server is up 24/7.

Tavern: We are going to have a Tavern (for all our previously listed drinking). So... yeah there is that.

Multiple Games: We play a lot of different online games, and will be using the new site to coordinate across all of them.

Hi Kabal, welcome and things

Goblin Squad Member

I bring greetings to the Kabal from the Keepers of the Circle. As my fellow Keeper Lam noted above, it seems much of your overall organization and goals are similar to our own. As such, the Circle looks forward to perhaps working with you in the future. Note that we welcome all envoys that wish to establish an official presence with us. If appropriate, we assign an official role of Ambassador, and otherwise simply note our quests as Representatives. If you do visit, drop by our Chancery to officially introduce your group or settle in with the other envoys for some general chat. Furthermore, I have noted your intention to join the Roseblood Accord. Indicate this on your application and we will also ensure you gain access to the Roseblood Accord forum we host for group discussions. If you should need anything in particular, please feel free to contact me directly.

Squaring the Circle,

Heeeeello, Sunnfire

Fult likes a lot how Sunnfire introduced Kabal. Fult reads "loyalty", "organized structure", "stability", "setting goals for everyone"... That makes Kabal a very lawful organization, but Fult understands Sunnfire is very wise. Sunnfire only show the tip of the spire, the lawful side. And lets a lot of interesting plots to unravel hidden in Kabal. That makes Kabal very interesting to join or explore

NG, you said, hmm?... Fult thinks Fult will keep his eyes wide open if Fult is allowed to visit your settlement... in detail. Fult's caravan won't leave empty <grins>
