Horse, Light and Heavy

What is the difference between a light horse and a heavy horse?

The Advanced Simple Template.

EDIT: A Heavy Horse also gains a 1d4 Bite, and has its Hoof damage increased to 1d6.

So the ability scores are the same? A horse only has 16 str whether light or heavy?

If you use the rebuild rules, the heavy horse adds +4 to all ability scores (except Int, since the horse has a 2 Int).

That's the correct answer for the Bestiary and the Equipment chapter. If you play a paladin and have one of certain printings of the Core Rulebook, there is no difference between a horse companion and a "heavy horse" companion.

Animal Companions weren't the subject of this thread, though.

Light/Heavy Horses can't be Animal Companions, anyways. There is only a "Horse" Companion.
