I recently ran an adventure for my daughter and her cousins for my daughters birthday. While it was a tad bit hectic I must say I had fun running the game and I know all the kids had fun as well. It is amazing that even with all of today's electronic toys kids are still into Pencil and Paper games. Here is a link to the video I made of the game. Caution to any rule lawyers who want to watch this, many many errors where made.

Ok, lets get to work developing an adventure:
A small tower of stone sits at the centre of a lake. The adventurers must journey there by boat and when a light spell is cast in the water the lake freezes over creating an icey battlefield. They must battle the creature that dwells there for its blue heartstone that will heal their village.
The dungeon network is a two room dungeon:
Room 1: the top of the tower where a light spell must be cast to access room 2 (the frozen lake or 'winter wastes').
Room 2: the frozen lake is a vast area of about a square mile shrouded in a cold mist that prevents anyone from seeing further than fifty feet. Out here is a monster of the winter wastes that has a heartstone for a heart (use any Arctic type ice monster suitable).
