This shield is designed for throwing and has specially designed straps that allow you to unclasp and throw it as a free action. Tower shields cannot be throwing shields. Neither a shield's enhancement bonus to AC nor its shield spikes apply on your attack or damage rolls. A throwing shield can't be disarmed.
Can I add "throwing shield" to a buckler? I am not interested in throwing it, just the immunity to disarm.
I read that as a different thing, so i deleted my post and will answer again.
I dont see "cant be disarmed" on Shield Throwing description. So im not sure if thats valid.
But yes, the description says that only tower shields cant be used.

On a side note, the description of all shields state that they are strapped to your arm. So i dont think you can disarm a shield because you are not holding it on your hands.
Yeah i checked the PRD, but as i said, you cant normally disarm shields because they are strapped. The throwing shield added that text because you unstrap it to attack, and as you said, they added the text because its in the weapon section.
I dont think you need to worry about being disarmed with a buckler.

You can add the Throwing option to a buckler, but I don't see the point. You can easily unbuckle and throw the shield, but a buckler isn't a weapon and would have no effect other than an improvised thrown weapon.
I'd give it a 1d2 at best.
I never had any intention of throwing it, but the modification deals the same damage, regardless of type.
