"L".... ?.... The is our 16th choice it would take about a thousand new votes spread through 15 guilds to push us to there. Unless you are saying you will be in "L", an odd choice for a NG settlement.

Scarab Sages

Blood, sorry for that. But now I want Kabal take X from us...

I only see upsides from it.

But no. I won't start a Campaign "Kabal on X". Please, don't insist.

Did you really just proclaim your willingness and intent to become a whole company of griefers?

That's some nice PR for the Empire of Xeilias, maybe Hobs should incorporate it into some of his recruiting adds.

Or was that a typo for "We would use feuds and settlement warfare to reclaim that territory, as soon as those mechanics are implemented into the game, sometime a year or so from the start of EE."
Which is considerably less effective of a threat, but also less likely to get your accounts promptly banned from the game.

I'm naming a company murder hobos.

Because its awesome.

Murderhobo = The term arises due to the fact that most adventuring characters and parties are technically homeless vagrants, generally living on the road and sometimes in temporary accommodation, and the default solution to problems faced by the typical adventurer boils down to killing things until the problem is solved or treasure is acquired.

I don't view the term as negatively as some, and essentially it matches to a tee the life style of bandits.

Secondly, not all grief is caused by "griefers", you are combining the emotion of grief with the play style of being a "griefer".

Thirdly, Hobs (poor Hobs gets dragged into everything) does not recruit for the UNC or for Aragon. Aragon is not a part of the Empire of Xeilias.

Finally, as for the quote you provided,

Quote:
"We would use feuds and settlement warfare to reclaim that territory, as soon as those mechanics are implemented into the game, sometime a year or so from the start of EE."

Did I say that? I doubt it, sounds too diplomatic and patient for me. I have recounted on a few occasions what the clan I belonged to in Darkfall did when we lost our settlement. That is exactly what we would do here, and none of it would result in rep loss or at least almost none of it.

Grand Lodge

I have 2 things to say here.

I think it's reasonable to assume ANY Company who gets displaced in week 10 will feel burned.

The specific reaction to displacement per "Guild", "Alliance", and even Chartered Companies will vary individually from any others based on a variety of factors such as Alignment, Leadership, Goverment/Guild Structure, Recruitment Strategy, and a thousand other things. I assume if/when this happens to

Spoiler:
"somebody"
some will get hostile, and others may make new friends and Allies by chance.

I'm glad we have the "Exalted Bastards", love that name for CE company.

In my experience, people who defend griefing are usually griefers. There is no other reason to defend such undesirable behavior. I was a "murderer" in Ultima Online...I killed lots of players, but by no definition of the word did I ever "grief" someone. You are smart enough to recognize griefing without bringing semantics into the discussion (constantly).

These statements made by some about "griefers" when using their own definition reminds me of Clinton's meaning of "is" argument during his impeachment.

Morbis and Potato. As far as I am aware, Deacon was never a member of the Herd. Can't wait until the game is easier to sell to people, going to have those guys killing so many things. Gonna be like the good old days.

That's not very PC of you, Sunnfire.

You need to be more sensitive to other people and their feelings. Instead, you should rename them the "Life Diminishing Displaced Persons" Company. Then no one's feelings will be hurt.

Any relation to the "Potato Sack Gang" on the Aquilonia RP-PvP server? They'd all be wearing the slaver's hood from Tortage (which looked like a potato bag with cutouts for vision) and demand people hand over all their potatoes before attacking. That was some meaningful PvP right there.

Well that is pretty narrow minded of you. I mean, we (UNC) don't even hold all of TSV accountable for what their own leaders say. You want to hold a 3rd part accountable for what another 3rd party says??

<looks at map> Empire of Xeilias has a lot of mountain hexes.. /scratches head and wonders.. why import stone from outsiders?

<looks at map again> Passage from Forgeholm to Callambea, right through "Chaotic Triangle" on southerly route. Northern route; across rough terrain; through another settlement's territory; through a pass, likley guarded by Freevale barbarian raiders; then finally to Callambea =total 17 hexes.

But lets stop the back and forth and just look forward to this reality....

On Monday, we will all know where we will be. For some of us, it won't change. For others it will. For all of us, we will begin looking at the map as evaluating it through a "political eye". Yes, some of our long held politics may have to be substantially altered based on Monday's news.

A little bit of quiet and stress before the final weekend of the landrush has resulted in a few fist-fights breaking out across the River Kingdoms today. Tensions are rising and this reporter only hopes that the weather breaks soon so people can get back to what matters.

Not much movement in the last 24 hours, though Keepers did manage to pick up two members, retaking 3rd/5th place from Ozem's Vigil.

We are, and frankly I think we stand a chance to turn a good profit as well.

Look, Aragorn are our neighbors and not our chained dogs. We could not hope to control them even if we wished to for the sake of business. What we could do (and did do) was secure non aggression.

If that non aggression standing costs us more business than we gain benefit from it then those terms will be revisited. They will not be revisited proactively.

Thanks,

Charlie G.

I have to say that this is true. Bluddwolf, and all the UNC, I have found pick their targets individually, even though they may on occasion refer to the entire TSV, usually they are speaking about certain individuals, and aren't holding anyone else accountable for what the leaders or individuals are saying...Doesn't mean they won't politely kill you and take your things, but if they do, it won't be because of what someone else in your guild said.

I do think it's interesting though, that everyone's first reaction to Kabal's displacement of a potential ally in a fair competition, without anything more aggressive, is for it to be a trigger for gang violence. No one wants a new ally?

New "allies" seem to be welcome on the perimeter of a regional grouping, not in its center.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm sure they would love another ally, I think primarily it would be the residents of the displaced Aragon that would become aggressive (as that is what they do best) and make life for the new owners of X an unpleasant experience. The neighbors of X may be just as happy with Kabal in that location if you all are interested in joining the NC and making nice as NG suggests. CN UNC doesn't play by those rules though...Or Kabal could just up and join the settlers of Aragon and you could all live together happily being nice and taking things together?

Bluddwolf wrote:
