Has anyone considered three-d scenes in Lego for their d&d/pathfinder games?

I've used lego for scenery (it's when you're posing your minis in a lego building as a 42 year old that you feel like you've really accomplished something with your life) but if you're going to do anything bigger than simple rooms and corridors, you're looking at spending a bunch of money. Anyhow, lego don't fit evenly into inches, but I find a three nub by three nub square is close enough. I only did it a couple of times because building as you go takes much longer than drawing on a battle mat, and people would get bored.

My brother and I have used it for monsters and obstacles. Things like benches, barrels and trees. But rarely did we build walls. We were also using minifigs for all characters as well.

We have an extensive collection between us with 30 years of collecting. So, for us it was cheaper than buying PPM.

I use lego for minis. It's fun. Unfortunately, most of my lego is simply too heavy to drag around with me, so I leave it in a storage locker until I have a big enough place.

One of my friends made his PFS character in Lego and uses it for his mini at games.
