It is just a little bit over a day more to go to give your votes to the land rush 2. I've been reaching out to the European PFS players and we managed to get ourselves in a good middle spot in the land rush leaderboard - just look for Thods Friends
The theme of the guild is PFS centric. For an in character description have a look here Theodum declares himself VC Emerald Spire.
The idea is to build up a settlement that could act as a meeting place in character for friends in PFS - or to hang out in character with people you might know from the boards here.
I've seen a lot other PFS players and Gms in other settlements and guilds. I'm not naming them here all as I don't want to do favourites - the ones who have spoken out favourably to my plans - you know who you are and I'm sure I will hear back from you.
But I'm sure I missed many other PFS players and GMs and it would be great to hear where you want to end up. On the PFO boards it seems around 1/3rd of posters there do have a PFS player or GM tag.
So - where are you all? Do you carry on as Pathfinder? Do you take the opportunity to finally be able to play evil? Or do you just see that as complete independent.

I have no idea what to roll in the game yet. I've never played an MMORPG before, so this is going to be a brand new venture for me. Clearly, I'll be needing a guild to hold my hand. :P
Drop me a message what you are looking for and I can give you an as unbiased as possible view what I could recommend. I would agree that joining a guild would be the right way to go.
A reason I try to get like minded PFS players together. On the bright side - this is a new MMO - so even experienced players will have to learn new things.BigNorseWolf |

Just close between the hours of 4 am and 6 am... those are apparently the only time he's awake.

Hey now, Mister Dreng is totally awake at times other than that! I once sat down at the breakfast table and had some nice porridge while he gave us the briefing. It was at normal breakfast time and everything and it was so nice and Mister Dreng seemed happy.
Then someone asked me what I do and I kind of summoned a pony onto the table and then Mister Dreng was very angry.

Thod, I thank you for this. I really wanted to play, but have never played in a MMO. Than I went looking on the boards at threads and saw that there are people whom have a lot of experience and have been in other games whom are setting up guilds so as to control areas. I get this is normal but would like some time and to meet allies that arnt evil. We have a whole world of gamers in PFS that I am hoping want to play this as us against the world and not always focused on us vs them.

Seems like we have alot in on common and, if it's not to forward, maybe we should move in together.

Has any one here been in the alpha test? I just visited the PFO website and it kind of (re?) sparked my interest. How's it looking. I watched a friend demo it at last PaizoCon and it seemed a bit clunky at the time. I'm sure it's shaping up better -- just wondering what those in the alpha are experiencing.

The Alpha period hasn't started yet, though there's been a blog post telling us they're switching it on imminently, for a limited number of high-level backers.
What you're seeing discussed on the boards, is a metagame competition, between the various competing groups, to adjudicate who gets to begin living in a settlement, when the Early Enrolment period opens, which will be at least another nine weeks away.

Alpha is supposed to be opening to the first backers on the week of June 16th; it is going to be without NDAs so there will probably streams and lots of commentary on it.
We are going to start our internal Alpha test immediately. Assuming all is going according to plan we will begin distributing Alpha access to Alpha backers on the week starting Monday the 16th. If we can begin earlier, we will. If we need more time, we'll alert the community.

PFO is a MMO that is currently in development. It is currently in early Alpha and about to open its doors to people who backed them on Kickstarter . If only I had known about this sooner...
I believe you can still get in the Alpha from the goblinworks.com website (though it is very expensive), or buy into Early Enrollment, which I think starts sometime in August (for the current option - I think the Kickstarters have an earlier early enrollment)?
