What's up with the Pathfinder Design team? No posts, no FAQ's answered, no new FAQs.
I imagine that they're just busy. It doesn't help that when they make rulings on anything controversial they get ridiculed for doing the exact thing people are asking for. So they would have to spend even more time discussing an issue before deciding on a ruling.
I don't know for sure about the design team, but Chris Lambert has been doing a great job trying to keep things civil on the forums.

I agree, it doesn't help, but the only answer is mass bannings, which I don't think would be good.
Absolutely, but you can also tell Chris is seriously overworked. One (at least ) the posters has taken to the old trick of wanting the thread locked so he insults as many posters as possible, which leads to Flagging of course and eventually to locking.

I must confess I see neither the utility nor the entertainment value of such a thing.
I'm not giving Chris Lambertz a ham for Christmas - Chris is gettin' a voodoo doll instead. ;)

That would be fantastic. Poor corrections are counterproductive. That is to say, their hastily drafted FAQ's are counterproductive. They don't even take that long to discuss issues; they just take forever to address them in the first place. It's a good game, which is why we're here. But that doesn't mean they do everything right.
I guess we could all join the fawning contingent who favorites every blessed dev post that appears, but I'd rather keep it real. They were so backward on the mounted charge FAQ, for example, that they had to redraft rage lance pounce as a result. Mounted combat nevertheless remains a mess. The FAQ request system is poor. They must be aware of this fact. I wish they would own up and correct it. Blaming fans of the game for being disappointed in stuff that's legitimately disappointing is not the answer.

Maybe we could all chip in and give her a well behaved forum.

First we need to price a minor miracle than divide by number of forumites.

Well now I just feel foolish. Mister Reynolds left Paizo 2 months ago. I know it's belated but good luck to him and his wife in their new life.
Still that means that the last 6 weeks have more than likely been an adjustment period. I don't know exactly how many employees there are at Paizo but probably enough that they're not some agile startup. If a guy like SKR left my place of business and at the same time we had maintain deadlines and such there'd be a lot of hunkering down to keep the ship going.
Maybe their silence is just the result of a lot work getting done. You're right; not everyone at Paizo is a writer/editor, but those that aren't are probably still digging in their heels to keep an even keel.

Go like RPG.net, where posts are not removed (unless they're really offensive), but warnings and 48-hour bans are dealt out rapidly.
Or, go like The Gaming Den, where the aggression flows freely, but the stupid is policed.
Or the Giant in the Playground forums, where offending posts are scrubbed but left visible instead of completely removed.
I think the Paizo staff does a great job monitoring their forums, but the actual forum policies might benefit from an update.
This was actually brought up in a different thread by (among others) SKR, but ironically the posts were deleted since they were referencing another (controversial) topic.

Inb4 post is deleted and "If you have a problem with our moderating policies, email webmaster@paizo.com" is left in its place.

After a few weeks of trying to read and post in the threads there I fled, it's the 4chan of RPG forums. A few good posts floundering amongst a sea of vitriol, hatred and insults, at least in my experience.

That is these forums right now!
I made a thread discussing it, please post and show you desire change!

Maybe so, but it's appearing increasing obvious that Sean was the guy doing the PDT posts and FAQ, since there have been basically none since he left.

Hey, let's turn the negative into a positive--why not construct a list of links to top FAQable threads, so that way when they do find that replacement, he or she can have an easy place to look to get caught up. Then we all win!
Well, we all win except for that guy—sure wouldn't want to be him!
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Folks, we've been short staffed here since Sean left and while the FAQ is very important to us, getting our books together is our top priority. That said... we will not be short staffed as of Monday (mind you, it still might take us a bit to get back in the swing of things, but you can expect more updates soon).

Thank you. Of course answers are better, but at least we now know you guys are aware of the issue and are working on it. This is why we love Paizo.
Might I suggest chaining the new guy to his desk until all the FAQ have been answered? ;-) I'll chip in for the chain.
