I'm sorry if this has been asked for, and if there is a place to read please point me to the right thread.

So question: How do you simplify the DM prep? what tools do you use? digital or analog. I want to know about them all.

The Exchange 5/5

First, don't re-invent the wheel. Check the GM Shared Prep drive for helpful handouts, stat blocks and game tips. If someone hasn't produced stat blocks already, then please contribute your own work to the drive. The PRD is a great tool for cutting and pasting stat blocks and spell descriptions.

Second, go to the GM Discussion messageboards and search for the title of the scenario you're going to run. The older the scenario, the more likely that GMs have already started a thread about it. Don't start a new one. Read the thread to get a better idea of the hazards and work-arounds that have been identified already.

Third, read the scenario reviews on the product page. They will give you an idea of what players like and didn't like about the scenario, so you can work on some creative solutions of your own.

Thanks for the reply. I will start looking.
