Question about Anevia's back story (definite spoiler territory)

So Irabeth sold the family sword for a potion to transform Anevia so her outsides matched her insides. Fantastic! I'm happy for her- and that the precedent has been set for such an item to exist. So how does MY PC get it?
What is this item? How much does it cost? Could I make one myself with appropriate spells and crafting feats? What even spells would you use for this, some kind of permanency-d alter self?

Officially, there's no rules set out as of yet. Unofficially, Wes Schneider at Paizo wrote this.

A permanencied alter self would require GM approval to allow the spell to work as a valid target of pemanency.

If you want an item that can change gender permanently (for a given value of the term), the Belt of Opposite Gender appears in the APG, and will allow you to swap your gender if you voluntarily fail the save. It functions as a curse effect, which IIRC means a dispel magic won't shut it off regardless of how high somebody's caster level is, and once you're changed you can take the belt off and keep the effect. A remove curse will still potentially change you back, but you get a Will save.

Curses can definitely be benefits. The Ocher Rhomboid ioun stone is an example of a curse effect that prevents somebody stealing it from you. Or there's the trick of casting bestow curse on a true dragon to age it and then voluntarily failing the save for rapid advancement through age categories.
