Arcane Trickster

Hi guys, I'm making a Grimspawn Tiefling that I'm planning on making an Arcane Trickster (AT). A person told me that I could use his Death Knell as my 2nd level spell to fill that requirement. If this is true, then I could take AT at 5th level instead of 8th. Is there any sort of official ruling on this?

Here is the FAQ. While SLAs do count as spells, Death Knell defaults to a divine spell and therefore doesn't meet the prerequisite for AT.

I have a Arcane Trickster Tiefling (was a Boon Tiefling) from before the FAQ ruling, with just the standard darkness SLA.

Could I retrain one or more of the three Wizard levels to Arcane Trickster levels? I'm guessing I could, but just want to double check...

Nope, Base class levels cannot be retrained into Prestige Class levels.
