I've made the game challenging. I know that. I'd be bored if it wasn't. It would almost be insulting...and here we are, on the cusp of 2nd...they split the party...leaving the two to be replaced behind...I've had 1post from the one that still posts at all...a couple of days ago, asking if he might have found the secret doors he hadn't been looking for yet.
I reminded him that they were left wide open.
No response.
Now, rats.
I really hate hand-holding, but if the pc I'm temporarily npcing hadn't attacked in melee, I doubt anybody would have.
I think that what they really need is a leader with just a little...ummm...adventuring experience?

Posted to alias. But I'll post it here as well. It's a little basic and vague since I'm still unfamiliar with your world. Also included a plot hook to get him into the region where everyone else is.
The Rauka'ateepa were a primal people. Barbarians, some called them. All because they refused to throw away the reverence of the natural world. The cultures in the valley had decided that was the direction life would go for them. But not for the Rauka'ateepa, the followers of Rauk. Their way was to live in harmony with the land and to destroy the enemies of the natural order.
Raised in the 'capital' settlement of the tribes, Varuk was born the son of a tanner and a hunter. His parents were devout in their honoring of the great Rauk. It was the goal of many warriors to match the exploits of the once-tribesman and ascend to divinity the way Rauk had. His parents had the same aspirations for their son.
One night, on a trip to one of the smaller camps, a warband of orcs and serpentmen attacked in a raid. Varuk's parents were killed fighting off the attack, and Varuk made his first kill that night. The boy was sent to live with his uncle, a priest. He raised Varuk in the faith. When he was about to undergo the manhood trials, Varuk discovered that the attack when he was younger was only made because a traitor had given the guard details to the beasts in order for enough gold to move to a civilized land.
This infuriated Varuk. Not only had that caused the deaths of many of his people, but it was against everything Rauk stood for. He would have his judgement! During his trials he hunted down the warband that had attacked the camp and killed them all. Earning his name Beaststalker. He decided then he dedicate his life to the faith and hunt down enemies of Rauk, starting with the traitor. He packed his things and headed for the valley lands, to begin his search.

He's the one you're following...and you've seen evidence of two things: he has...magical...gifts (strange gifts, not like the ones Rauk grants...)...and...he's headed to the far western valley...where the soft folk have settled...

I just realized who the DM is. One who plays interesting characters.
Still room in this?
But first I have to roll
Str-int stats: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 2) = 8 7
dex-intstats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 2) = 16 14

I'm a mathematical genius and I have a 70% chance of having better rolls.

Making a tanky spell caster, my answer to powerful and many monsters is burning hands and other spells that affect many creatures and a spell caster that wears armor. Thinking Magus, or a sorcerer with the light armor proficiency and that feat that reduces arcane spell failure chance.
before racials.

Ok...I gave Varuk a very simple intro...I can and would like to do more...
The party could be a little while yet...but I'd like to have a couple of you ready when the party gets back to the village...
I'm pretty open on who that'll be...but I definitely like Varuk..
I've already set up future stuff because of his submission. ;)

Wait, it's for plot purposes? XD Tell me that sooner!
I can totally see her having a favorite cousin, maybe one that's a little *ahem* good at getting into places they shouldn't. Not on the level of serious criminal enterprise, but perhaps they just grew up being curious, and inspired part of Sakuro's willingness to work with professional rogues. Would that work?

If you are still open to applications, I am certainly interested in rolling something up. I will have an idea together once I finish reading through the game so far.
I try to post fairly often and check the board several times per day.

Would likely depend on party makeup, but would use Grid #3, and build either a Drunken Master Monk, a Shapeshifter Ranger, or a Sandman Bard.

You *just* stumbled across something remarkable, however, and it's given you pause.
Across the valley, on the mountainside, is an ancient burial ground...of a people of ancient times...and there's a big stone marker...that has, carved on its face...an ancient version of the holy symbol of Rauth!

hear you can...ummm...ah...never mind. We just gotta go. Ok?
