Well this ^^ is not going to happen, ie. saving money on shipping. I ordered something yesterday with a 14-28 day before it ships, and it shipped out this morning.
Now this is a dumb complaint. (snicker)
I'll buy The Assimilation Strain from where ever I can get it, but still preference for here at Paizo.

Found a bit of a typo in The Assimilation Strain - Ambrin Redthistle in area A2 notes that the Apothecary is 'south' of town, but on the map, I believe it would be more accurate to say he's in the northwest... and the difference between what he said and the directions another character gave is making my players paranoid.
As much as this amuses me, that should probably be corrected? Unless it's meant to be that way, of course.

A new Kickstarter update today, because the print books of To Worlds Unknown are now ready to start shipping to backers, and we've got updated PDFs of the Art and Map Folio and the Legendary Planet Player's Guide (5th Edition) too!
Plus art previews as always from some of the adventures coming a bit farther down the road. Check it out!

Not sure if this is a GM-only space, so I'm going to use spoilers.
I only have three problems, really. First, and this is fairly minor, I would have liked two or three more "random encounters" in Zel-Argose to get a better feel for the city before kicking off the Daytaar compound invasion; the Redfists are fine as generic "good guy" encounter fodder, but the adventure seems to assume that the PCs are willing to just play mercenary for whichever Coterie happens to make an offer first. Obviously, participating in the arena fights is classic sword & planet material, so I'm pleased they didn't but I still think I'm likely to have to come up with some more ways for the PCs to get into trouble in Zel-Argose on my own. Not a big deal, though. One wretched hive of scum and villainy is a lot like another, yeah?
Second, it would have been nice to have approximate level checkpoints throughout the adventure rather than just the beginning and ending levels. I thought it was kind of ironic that the 5th Ed version has them by necessity, but the PF version does not.
Third, and this is honestly my biggest gripe, I was deeply disappointed that the narrative and descriptive text doesn't really give any weight to the moment the PCs step out of the temple and actually see the new world they're on for the first time. What color is the sky? What do three moons and two suns (one a pulsar!) look like up there? If Palomb is continually bombarding the system with high-energy radiation, are there continual and brilliant aurorae on the northern or southern horizon? What does the local flora and fauna look like - Becenar is a main-sequence yellow star, but are there trace elements that impact which colors are best for energy absorption, so the local chlorophyll-analogue is actually more of a purple or aquamarine? What bummed me out is that it's a key spot in the story that really ought to bring home the alienness of Argosa and the sense that they're a long, long way from home, but there's nothing for the GM to work with to make that happen.

The Scavenged Codex just came out for backers. I'm not done reading it yet, but my early thoughts...
1) THANK YOU for adding the Advancement Track. ^^
2) I see someone was having a lot of fun with complex skill checks. XD
3) This is 20 pages longer than the last book! That's no small amount of material. Impressive.
4) For some reason, the first "A" in Alien Treasures isn't displaying in the Table of Contents. The letter is there (I tried copying and pasting it), but it's not showing up. o_O Odd. That should probably be fixed for the final release.

Well, I suppose I could provide the Adventure Brief. XD
Stranded escapees of an alien abduction face new challenges on the planet Argosa. As they desperately search for a way home, a new benefactor presents them with a promising opportunity. While it could foster more conflict with the powerbrokers of Zel-Argose and the barbaric culture of a distant, apocalyptic world, it also represents their best chance of returning to their former lives. Can they brave the unknown dangers of Coterie politics and yet another gate to reclaim the lost lore of the Patrons? Or will they fall victim to those still hoarding the secrets of The Scavenged Codex?
It's pretty much that. o wo/ ...In a 118-page PDF.

I'm a backer for the 5th edition version but haven't seen anything yet. Is that normal?
Our 5E playtest got borked by scheduling and we were not able to get it done this month like we had hoped. We want to make sure everything works as it's supposed to and did not want to release the adventure without thoroughly vetting it, so we had to push back the 5E release until after GenCon.
Which reminds me, I need to send that KS update!

The latest chapter of Legendary Planet is out to backers! We sent out download links this past weekend to our Pathfinder backers for this incredible 116-page adventure, packed with tons of bonus content, plus a 31-page Art and Map Folio. Our 5E playtest is still underway, and we should have that version available after GenCon, sometime in August.
In honor of this momentous release, we have made "Planetary Heroes" our TWO$DAY product of the week, so you can pick up 8 amazingly detailed interplanetary characters this week for just $2!
Check out the latest from Legendary!

Papa-DRB wrote:Of course. Ask your FLGS.Question.....
I know the soft cover books are available at Legendary Games, Paizo and RPGNow, but will my FLGS be able to order them?
-- david
Absolutely. Have them email me at makeyourgamelegendary@gmail.com and I'll be happy to hook them up. You can even pass on our standard terms for FLGSs - They pay half cover price, with free shipping if they order over $250.

After listening to the PaizoCon panel, I'm pretty pumped for this!
Glad to hear it.
The AP hasn't come out as fast as we would have liked (though we've got more staff resources and a new workflow system that should make the latter portion go through much more quickly), but we are very happy with the quality of the product!
