Can you use wolfsbane to cure lycanthropy four or more days after the initial exposure?

Alternatively, consuming a dose of wolfsbane gives an afflicted lycanthrope a new Fortitude save to recover from lycanthropy.

The way this is worded, in a separate sentence and as a separate thought, makes me think that you can cure lycanthropy with wolfsbane four or more days after the initial attack.

Does anyone know if this is true? Is there any more support for either interpretation?

I believe it used to be (in 3.5 and earlier) that you had to do it within 24 hours of being bitten.

The way it is worded, IMO you have to eat it within 3 days also now.

It doesn't say when to make your new Fort save, but I'm sure it means AFTER you survive the 6xDC16 Fort saves vs wolvesbane poison you can then make a new DC15 Fort save vs Lycanthropy.

Maybe even rinse and repeat at 500 gp a pop until 72 hours have passed.

That should be fun.

Sorry.
Making one save cures the poison.
Though you might need to make six.
