With Empire Comes Variety

As I have said in the past, a nation can afford its citizens far more opportunities than any single settlement. With the addition of two new settlements, it has been a very exciting week for the Empire of Xeilias. Especially for all the smaller groups looking for a suitable home, let me share the opportunities that await you in the Empire of Xeilias:

Settlement Callambea - Lawful Neutral trade hub of the Xeilian Empire. If harvesting, refining, crafting and trade are what make the game for you, Callambea should be your home, and we suggest you have a look at the Aeternum Trade Alliance. If protecting hearth and home appeals, Callambea has its own standing army called Corpus Aeternum. If you prefer to take your PvP on the road as caravan escorts, mercenaries, bounty hunters and more, The Hounds of the Imperium should fill the bill.

Settlement Golgotha - The Empire's Lawful Evil militaristic powerhouse. From formation combat to stealthy assassins; from crafters to mercenary bands, and even a unique legion of Half-Orc, follow the link to see the myriad of possibilities within the existing Golgothan Companies.

Settlement Kreuz Bernstein - Forged by the recent merger of the German settlement Eastern Sun and Quadrivium, this new addition to the Empire of Xeilias is Lawful Neutral and will be specializing in crafting with a focus on woodworking, as well as studies into the arcane and high adventure.

Mystical Awakening - Lawful Neutral militaristic dictatorship lead by members of the D.Y.E.S. gaming community (European). Offering another choice for soldiery without the evil overtones of Golgotha, Mystical Awakening provides a home for those who seek PvP or supply those who do.

Our settlements are also in the Northern Coalition - a group of now six settlements clustered around the northeastern quadrant of the map and sharing a nonaggression pact.

If your people have any desire in these possibilities, there are a number of ways to plug in. The easiest is to find an existing company within one of the settlements:

Joining Callambea
Joining Golgotha
Joining Kreuz Bernstein
Joining Mystical Awakening - PM Augir

However, we also offer Free Agent status if you wish to live in the settlement and remain unaffiliated, or if you have enough interest to field a company of your own, we offer Sponsored Company and Private Company status as well.

* The links immediately above are for Callambea, but Free Agents, Sponsored Companies, and Private Companies are also available in Golgotha. Given their new arrival into the Empire, Kreuz Bernstein and Mystical Awakening are still discussing similar positions within their settlements. Contact their leadership for details.

Might want to add me as well for the Mystical Awakening contact Hobs :) I know most contact between you has been through Augir, but we are working together (I just have a busy schedule and a f*~#ed up work schedule :) )

Hope things have calmed down for you. I'm 9 minutes over the editing time limit, but your post here should do the trick. My apologies for the oversight.

But there is room for more, and of many different types and talents. Come find a place, or create a niche that's all your own.

And we're happy to have you. :)

So are we really gonna play this game of linkify Mr Hobs? Trying to out do me I see...

Next time you are asleep, I'll put your green hat on your head and mention it in casual conversation around Bludd. ;)

Goblin Squad Member

If you're concerned about the number of links I use, I can reduce it to just one...here you go

Goblin Squad Member

"here you go" and shows the same posting / amount of links as before :D

Goblin Squad Member

But I only used one link. He should feel better, no? :)

Goblin Squad Member

Five sounds like a nice round number. Which will be number five?

Callambea + ______________________ (insert your company)
Golgotha + ______________________ (insert your company)
Kreuz Bernstein + ________________________ (insert your company)

or if you're a bit larger...

1. Callambea
2. Golgotha
3. Kreuz Bernstein
4. Mystical Awakening

and...

X____________________________ (insert your settlement)

All of which makes for...EoX + you = success

Join for the hugs and cookies! Hobs makes a scrumptious chocolate chip and personally tucks us in at night after reading us fairytales of the "good" people terrorizing poor misunderstood Necromancers and their "extended" families. Oh and ignore Uncle Fester... he is just weird.

Evil does have cookies. This is known.

Evil has the best cookies...

Sadly it is true, I do think our bakes put a little heart and soul into all of their goods.

Wait, are you talking about our milkshake? Because we only share that on trade of coin.

Our milkshakes bring all the orcs to the yard.

So much for the big, bad, evil empire image...cookies and milkshakes...

I'm doing my part with cannibalizing slaves, animating their corpses and in some cases eating the zombies for a second time. Then again, the Empire is only Not Evil Enough which is why I'm not a part of it.

Quasi Evil...is that like a little pregnant?

Because there is Evil and then there is Vile.

We never sought to be a Vile Empire. There is a difference between a sociopath and a psychopath.

I see your "Vile" and I raise it a "Despicable" and a "Loathsome".

Aristocrats are Evil

I am crashed that I did not receive such praise.... No extra servings of Gnome Tartare for you, Lord Hobs "The Spinner of Lies and Fomenter of Despair".

I tend to pass on Gnomes anyway, but thanks for the thought. :)

Week 10.

Still looking for a home?

Well then...
we have four:

Callambea
Golgotha
Kreuz Bernstein
Mystical Awakening

Looking for more:

We have a nation...Empire of Xeilias

Found a group we already have, like the fit, and just want to join - super.

Already have a close knit group with it's own style and just looking for a place to sponsor it - we'd love to have you.

Not sure what you want to do and want to discuss possibilities - send me a PM. As the Imperial Ambassador, I can hook you up with the right group of people once you've figured out what you're looking for. We may be an empire, but empires are built of individuals. Let's talk about how you can be one of those unique individuals, and together, how we can build something truly great in PFO.

Goblin Squad Member

Time is running out in the land rush. Please consider joining :) We may RP Evil but are not that way outside the game honest. Release that inner bad boy you know you want to...

Goblin Squad Member

There are also three Lawful Neutral settlements in the Empire. If you don't have an inner bad boy, we still have lots of fun and profitable places to call home.

Goblin Squad Member

Or if you were considering doing evil solo or in conjunction with good keep us in the brim of your hat. It might not be all we are, but we surely fully support it.

The Empire is a far more diverse place than some may realize (or maybe even wish to admit). We have room for motorcycles, mopeds, and even shiny ponies.

Goblin Squad Member

I didn't read segways. I quit!

Goblin Squad Member

I thought you'd be bringing the shiny pony.

I use to love ponies, but then I got donkey kicked by one.

In an effort to add clarity to how the Empire of Xeilias intends to represent itself as a Lawful Evil entity, The Empire provides the PFO community with the following article written by Guurzak.

--------------------------------------

The Empire of Xeilias is evil.

While this sentence is true, it's very incomplete and misleading without further context. A much more useful statement is this:

The Empire of Xeilias is High-Reputation Lawful Evil.

What does this mean?

High-reputation characters do not attack neutrals unprovoked. We generally limit our aggression to Hostiles, such as war and feud targets, Attackers and Criminals, and committed members of enemy NPC factions. Low-rep "content" characters may also be targets of aggression. If you're not on our naughty list, you're perfectly safe unless you're lurking around somewhere you shouldn't be during our vulnerability window. Xeilias is firmly committed to positive gameplay.

Lawful characters keep their bargains, honor their contracts, and obey the laws. We can be trusted to guard your caravans; we can be trusted not to rob them. Many of the behaviors that worry players who hear "evil" are not evil at all, but chaotic, and we emphatically reject crime and chaos as anathema to our ideals. When you trade with Xeilias you can be confident that the deal will be completed and the goods delivered exactly as promised, and when you visit a Xeilian settlement you should feel comfortable that you'll be able to buy, sell, and trade without having to worry about theft or murder on our streets.

Evil does not mean toxic. Evil does not mean RPK. Evil certainly doesn't mean that you need to worry about what might happen if you turn your back on us for a minute with a harvesting party in the field or an undefended tower with an open window. Evil means that IF you make us your enemies, we will visit assassins and necromancers and bloody screaming slaughter upon you the likes of which no good settlement can muster. But so long as you treat us as your neighbors, we are actually very good neighbors to have.

Think of Xeilias as very much along the lines of the Hellknights: very unpleasant if provoked, but otherwise, very useful allies, or safe traveling companions. You have nothing at all to fear from us... unless you deserve it. Avoid any 'deserving it', and you will find us excellent trading partners, reliable mercenaries, and very convenient friends to have.
