Oh no, it has been something I have been meaning to do... just hadn't gotten around to it. Now I have a reason. =)

Thanks for the carefully thought replies! I was just commenting on how it is tough to understand from the outside looking in, please don't think I was making a demand.

And congrats!

We enjoyed the opportunity to explain ourselves :)

Thank you for your kind words.

Well if everyone in the Empire is going to change their avatar.... maybe its time I do the same.

Do I have this correct?

Understanding the structure

I am interested in your organization but was a bit confused about where Aeternum fitted in, probably because its name re-emerged in the new structure.

I take it Fidelis and Aeternum are both going to try to get their own settlement in the second landrush (since Golgotha seems to have been established)?

Your chart is correct, but it was Aeternum / Callambea that became established. Golgotha will be trying to get their own settlement in the second landrush.

We will not be also pushing for Fidelis to have a settlement from this next landrush unless something on the diplomatic or recruitment end changes.

I think of Mordor, when I think of Golgotha, but that might be too high a bar to set.

I would think more of Isengard, we prefer ranks of discipline and well equipped Uruk-Hai to swarms of poorly equipped and lead orcs.

Thanks Charlie, I see now that Harad said he would change that on the map in the weekend.

Well, thank goodness. I've been stuck dealing with Areks, and he's been nothing but reasonable, welcoming, and forthright....

Glad you're back!

Goblin Squad Member

BL is back!? OH HELL YEAH!!! *Climbs up to the second turn buckle and calls for some Stevewiesers*

Goblin Squad Member

Thank You for the "Welcome back" guys.

Oh, only the Fat Merchant Incarnation will be using you to block the weather. There will be other characters that "Cry Havoc" on any that would harm Xeilias!

We try not to let him too far off the leash, but this time, at least, he was well behaved. ;)

Areks starts frothing at the mouth and shouting expletives.

Goblin Squad Member

*Tosses him a bone to chew on*

Goblin Squad Member

Areks whittles the bone into a small figurine with a Hobs-like likeness. He smiles and makes it do a little dance. He manages to aquire a bit of green paint and colors the hat atop the figurine. Areks grabs a very large nearby rock and smashes the figurine into dust before continuing to froth at the mouth and shout expletives once again.

Ahhhhhh.... he just wants his pet "Spikey Bits". Areks calms right down with him near.

Goblin Squad Member

Areks starts cooing once Deacon arrives.

Goblin Squad Member

Deacon might get the nickname "Spikey Bits" someday, but plz don't think that I was inferring he was anyone's pet!

Undead Dreadlords make terrible pets.

They shall have an illegitimate love child 700 years in the future and name him Sonic!

That's not the only way to join either! We are accepting independent settlements and companies as well!

Don't think you'll have the numbers for the Land Rush but are interested in establishing a POI? We can help you make this happen!

Settlements that join get equal voting rights in the Imperial High Consul (executive branch)!

Sponsored Charter Companies get equal voting rights on the Xeilian Praetura (legislative council)!

Don't wanna be involved in the big picture as far as Xeilias is concerned but still think you want to operate a business out of the Empire?

Private Charter Companies can lease settlement space and don't have ties to the Empire.

Last but not least, even though the Empire, right now, is a strictly lawful entity does not mean we don't accept Neutral or Chaotic allies. Currently we cannot support chaotic training, but hopefully we'll have that rectified in short order!

Goblin Squad Member

Well said Areks. Come check us out if the above interests you.

This is exactly what we would like any potential members to know. The Xeilian Empire was purposely designed to be inclusive of other non-Pax groups. From its conception, we have been looking to create not simply a single settlement, but a nation, with as much diversity and opportunity, as much breadth as well as depth, as this game's systems will allow. And where the game systems may not provide for the relationships we know will be the most beneficial to our members, the Xeilian Charter does, in the form of Alliances. As we have said elsewhere, the Xeilian Empire may have originally been a Pax sponsored idea, but it is not a Pax dominated entity, nor do we wish it to be if we are to stay true to our ideals of creating a greater community within PFO.

Much the same way several wise coalitions are now banding together to realize their individual groups' dreams of settlement ownership via the coming Second Landrush, The Xeilian Empire aspires to do the same on a nation level. To get the most out of PFO, a game designed to encourage (if not require) meaningful interaction and cooperation between groups, the Xeilian Empire hopes to be forward thinking enough to promote this scale of interdependence now rather than later. After all, truly great things take foresight and planning. With that in mind, we invite you, from individual player to whole settlement, to join us as partners in forging your dreams and our dreams into something greater than them both.

Overall, pretty smoothly. A few "spikey bit" injuries, many "cakes" baking, and much talk of "hawt pants".

Welcome back.

Honestly, if you have something worthwhile to offer, there should be no shame in ensuring people can easily find and peruse your thread.

Given the new buzz generated by the Second Land Rush, this is the perfect time to remind budding settlements to think big...to contemplate participation in something larger than a single settlement, and thereby take an active role in shaping a nation.

What thought is bigger than to think of Pax Tyrannous Maximus Hobs! The exquisite being that he is, and we will all become dim beneath the grandeur of his light!
