Aqueous Orb

Rules Questions

This question is looking for a FAQ response as I don't believe there is a clear answer available from the rules as written. Aqueous Orb says this:

Quote:
Creatures within the orb may attempt a new Reflex save each round to escape into a random square adjacent to the aqueous orb.

The spell specifies neither the type of action it takes to gain the save or when during your turn it is made. Compare that too, for example:

Quote:

Hold Person

Each round on its turn, the subject may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect. This is a full-round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity
Quote:

Gltterdust

Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt new saving throws to end the blindness effect
Quote:

Greater Command

At the start of each commanded creature's action after the first, it gets another Will save to attempt to break free from the spell.

So my question is two fold:

1. What sort of action, if any, is it to gain the save to escape an aqueous orb?

2. At what point during a creatures turn do they get to make the save?

Not terribly clear. How I read it:

1. The saving throw is a non-action. If the saving throw is successful, the creature is deposited into a random adjacent square.

2. Since the spell text doesn't specify any limits on the timing, it's up to the affected creature.

I agree 100% with blaphers and this doesn't need any Errata.
