Hey all,
I came across the Fighter's Fork and wanted to apply it a different weapon.
I was thinking it could work with a Great Axe:
i) It would "Lengthen" into Two-Handed Reach Weapon, like a Bardiche without Brace, but with a better damage die, and a different threat range;
ii) It would "Shorten" into a Battle Axe so it could be used One-Handed with a shield, but could not be thrown.
Is this allowed? And, if so, what would the cost be?

Is it allowed? Ask your GM.
As for the weapon type, if you want to maintain equivalence, it wouldn't start as a Great Axe. Base form would be a one-handed weapon, such as a Battle Axe. Then you can either make it larger (a two-handed weapon with reach) or smaller (Throwing Axe).
Using something that is already two-handed would make for a confusing situation. Since the original goes from one-handed to two-handed + reach, how would a two-handed Great Axe change? Become three-handed + reach?
Of course, all things are possible with GM's blessing. Unless you're playing in Pathfinder Society, at which point this is all kinds of not legal, heh.

I see what you guys mean by the enchantment being limited to One-Handed weapons. Enchanting Two-Handed Non-Reach weapons would make the weapon damage a little un-balanced even though the ability to throw the "Shortened" variant would be lost.
Perhaps it would be balanced by excluding the ability to "Shorten" the weapon, and counting it as a +2 Enchantment cost. Any thoughts?

This entire discussion is something you should be having with your GM.
I wouldn't allow any alteration to named items in my games, the potential to make some mistake is too great and you can't take an item away you granted. So the only way to fix it is to power up the monsters.
