Whether it was in a magazine, or in a 3rd-3,5 book, I remember there was a magical item created by Ilithids used to help fight the Daelkyr, and essentially took the "skin slot". I cannot remember what the items were called, nor do I know the correct slot. If someone remembers the name of the book or magazine issue, please post it here. Or the specific name of the items.

There was a Dragon magazine back in the day that had an article on illithid tech. Unfortunately I think it is sold out (I've never seen it) but that might be what you are thinking of. That said, I am totally unaware of any illithid rebellion against the daelkyr in Eberron canon. Are you sure you aren't thinking of the githyanki and githzerai rebellion against the illithids?

Alright then. All I remember is that Illithids rebelled against Daelkyr since they were being hunted or something. I could be wrong of course. The skin they used was mainly for their servants, but some of them used it as well.
That sounds like the plot or background of an adventure, maybe from Dungeon magazine. You could try and check the old issues in the Paizo store. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Alrighty. I actually found the skins when I searched for them on dandwiki. They weren't listed as 3rd party, but it isn't the skins that I am interested. Rather, I'm interested in the pricing so I can make my own skin, as well as the creation and what slot. Apparently they don't take up any slots that an armor is used for, which is perfect for what I got in mind.
