Boar style and bladebound magus - can you turn your hand intelligent and unbreakable?

Rules Questions

I kinda like the idea and rp potential of a unarmed strike bladebound who has a 'bad hand' that he talks to and that makes him do things...bad things.

A black blade is always a one-handed slashing weapon.

Boar Style (Combat, Style)
Your sharp teeth and nails rip your foes open.
Prerequisites: Improved Unarmed Strike, Intimidate 3 ranks.
Benefit: You can deal bludgeoning damage or slashing damage with your unarmed strikes—changing damage type is a free action. While using this style, once per round when you hit a single foe with two or more unarmed strikes, you can tear flesh. When you do, you deal 2d6 bleed damage with the attack.

No. The ability to deal slashing damage with your unarmed strike does not make it a weapon.

Grand Lodge

Boar Style doesn't make your hand a one-handed weapon (despite the fridge logic of it).

Your unarmed strikes all still considered light weapons, so no.

Unarmed Strike are light weapons.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Regardless of rules, the more I think about this the more I would definitely allow it if player asked for it.

"My fist is now an intelligent magic weapon, so literally....talk to the hand." ;)

Sczarni

lol "teleport weapon" ..."causing it to instantaneously teleport to his hand."

Your hand knows what you really did last summer ...

If only there was a mutation trait to make your hand bigger so it would no longer be a 'light weapon'.

Recon the group could work me waking up at 3rd level with a giant black maybe hairy evil mutant hand into some amusing rp.

Teleporting your evil unsunderable hand back to you might be pertinent if the paladin gets fed up and chops it off !

Sczarni

well if you used the teleport ability, presumably, your hand would teleport to your other hand =D
