Role playing and Technology (A Masters Project)

Greetings fellow Pathfinders!

My name is Anders, and I am currently writing a project regarding the implementation of Technology and Digital media into the Role playing experience. That is all fancy talk for me studying how a role playing session changes when you throw some technology into the mix, but to get the data and results I require to validate some of my theories I need your help.

I have made a short 6 minute survey that will ask a few multiple choice questions, that will help me out greatly. I won't say too much about what these I am hoping to get, as I don't want to color your opinions before you even take it, but I just need you to be as honest as possible.

I found the seventh question a little ambiguous - I assumed that the options listed were all 'with the laptop', but that wasn't made clear anywhere.

I'm a victim of survey fatigue. Unless I have a good reason to do so, I no longer bother. Come clean with what the survey is being used for and why it's being taken, and then I'd consider donating my time to filling it out.

I do have that picture hanging above my desk, the boss emailed it around when our monitoring solution was going ballistic because someone forgot to calibrate it... also have a 'Should you eat that bacon' flowchart, turns out the answer is yes.

On question #15, the first option is irrelevant to players, unless you mean in terms of a player using such a device to assist the referee.

Just did it, the nature of questions tell me my data will be unlikely to give you a decent answer. Tried to fill in the open answer questions to give you some decent feedback though.

I had not realized my own preferences for technology-adoption differed as strongly as they do between roles (GM vs Player) prior to taking this. Very interesting survey.
