Caitas: The Perfect City Recruitment

Recruitment

51 to 90 of 90 << first < prev | 1 | 2 | next > last >>

Well, physical description is done. Still trying to pick a trait and feat. Think my first trick will be Vanishing Trick. (Still trying to flesh out her personality a bit more.)

What would be a good third language to pick up? Still puzzling over what to spend my skill points on. (Disable Device and Use Magic Device are for certain.) I posted as Mizuki a few posts back, so you can check what's there.

We have no backstory, but we still have to make one to tell you who we think we are and what we did, right?

@Double gold: Basically you are writing what you want your character to become, as they will become that soon after they leave. :) I hope you guys find it a cool concept It is a bit different, but intresting none the less. Write who you want your character to become.

@Talia: The human and core race languages (elvish, gnome, dwarven) are your best shot. As we are not in Galorian, you will need those at first. Perhaps Abyssal or Infernal. The elemental languages are second priority. :)

Just wanted to confirm that I'm still very interested in this! I'll be entering as a modified Kobold Rogue/Fighter, focusing on TWF, with your approval. If I can't do that, then I'll be a Catfolk Rogue focusing on the natural weapons of the Catfolk.

here are my proposed modifications for the Kobold, to get them up to par with other races (from 5 to 10 RP):

-Adjusted Racial Stat Adjustments: +2 Dex, -2 Con, +2 Wis. Kobolds are fast and possess dragon-like vision, but they are physically frail.

-Adjusted Skill Bonuses: +2 bonus to Craft(Trapmaking) and Perception. Craft(Trapmaking) and Stealth are always class skills for a Kobold.

-Light Sensitivity removed

These adjustments are meant to bring Kobolds from 5 RP to 10 RP. Not too powerful, not too weak.

@Gadget: I am sorry but Kobolds are not a playable race in my campaign. The catfolk rogue is fine. :)

It's fine! I'll get to work right now in that case!

I know this is gonna be a silly train of though, but can I take the Iron beard spell, and have it apply to hair instead? Because that just adds fun flair to my spell list (Which I wont get until a little ways into the game anyways) It's normally a dwarf spell, but It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have notices dwarfs growing metal and gold in their beards and coming up with a similar tactic with her hair through the use of her newly discovered magic. =P~ Plus the concept that I could take my hair and turn it into Metal back spikes is pretty funny in it's own right. And you did say you where looking for interesting characters over Min/Max

@Shadow: I'd have to think about it. Im going to bed for now, but I should have an answer by tomorrow.

So... do any of those 3 pitches from the bottom of last page strike you (or anyone else really) as being a better fit for where things are likely to go?

Sorry Googleshng! I meant to post regarding you; sorry! The first and the last stand out to me more than the ifrit.

@ GM Sanya- Made up your mind on the spell? =P

Pathfinder Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Sorry for the delay.

For once I was thinking a Samurai. I normally don't play full BAB characters but I Want to try Samurai.

Since we start out neutral and work to something I was wondering if I could just let her play naturally and decide on alignment with you GM Sanya when we escape and become ourselves.

Ronin Samurai-

Nera was trained to be a guardian and protector. From a proud heritage and line of warriors dating to who knows when, she had much to live up to. But for her something was missing. Her own drive to be a guardian and protector did not exist. She wanted to but had yet found something or someone who she wanted to protect. For now she searches for something or someone that will be worthy of her effort.

I am stuck between Human and Oread to start at the moment but it is down to those two. Before Racial mods though stats are as follows:
14 Str 5 pts
13 Dex 3 pts
14 Con 5 pts
10 Int 0 pts
12 Wis 2 pts
10 Cha 0 pts

Though I will change Wis and Cha if I chose Oread. I don't like negative numbers. ^.^

Scarab Sages

Wow, crazy week for me. Working on fluff and reviwing crunch for Regin now.

Ok. I think I'm done. Unless I've forgotten, which is likely...

What's your name again?

@ Reign You forgot to put which school you are in, though you did put your opposed schools.

Oh, right. I'm having a really hard time deciding that. I'll have it filled out by tomorrow.

Fixed. I picked Conjuration. Going a controller/crafter route and will probably pick up the Arcane Crafter discovery just so I can fullfill my character's premise and walk around with a personal library of scrolls. :)

I advise picking up Spell tattoos as well, so you can just be loaded with scroll spells at all times.

Alright Regin. I am really excited about all of the applicants and will probably choose tomorrow or saturday. :) If you have expressed interest, tell me a basic concept. You dont have to have the entire character done before the ending and choosing period. I am VERY close to being finished with college (for real this time) and will have so much more time to truly flesh out more of the story. I have an over arching plot its just the fleshing out to finish. :) Im really excited!!! Ive been wanting to run this homebrew for ages and feel like I am ready. I hope those of you who get chosen enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it. I plan on making my own world and making maps for it. :) Like I said SUUUUPPPPEEERRR EXXXCIIITEEED!! Haha.

@ SHadowed: I am not going to be able to allow it. As I see it, dwarves' beards go over their chests, hair is on top of the head. Feel free to give more arguments of why, but I am pretty sure its a no. My apologies. :)

I realized I didn't take my level 2 skill points in that alias though. But I would plan on taking skills in stuff I already took, so all of those skills would be one higher with 2 ranks in each.

Hmmm spell tattoos is a good idea. Thanks! :)

How "optimal" should we be? I know this feels like a story/character heavy concept, but how rough and tumble should we be thinking? For instance, I took a completely flavor feat for first lvl. Should I not do that?

@ GM Sanya I don't plan to argue for it, It was a silly sorta spell I felt could be fun and effective, but both required your permission and slight alteration. You said no so I'm fine with no, there are still other spells I can take just fine~

@Shadowed: Okay good! :)

Mizuki's is in her profile. I'm still trying to get all her abilities added and formatted.

@:Jazz: That is actually exactly how I want it! I dont want to tell you how to play your character, The beginning of the story just calls for you all to be common folk in a perfect society. Therefore you all are neutral to begin with, but it allows for you guys to find the character as the story progresses. :)

I will be closing recruitment in two hours. If you have already stated interest, I will be choosing by tomorrow night, so have your concepts/crunch in to me by tomorrow afternoon. Have fun guys!

OOOO~ Glad you are closing it so soon, leaves you with about 10 people to choose from. I've seen gm's wait until they had 30 some applicants before closing. I can't imagine it would be fun to choose form so many ever. One second, actually need to put the crunch onto my profile.

Barring any last minute groundswell of support for the moss-gathering stone gal, here's a profile and sheet link. Not filling the companion/domain in just yet since the premise here lends itself to waiting a bit for that.

Recruitment closed! I will look over all submissions and have a decision by tomorrow night latest.

Good luck, all!

Added physical description and some personality quirks/fluff. :)

Coolie Regin! :)

I have chosen!

Regin Ald
Jazzai Moonbreaker
Kinh Lestari
Mizuki
Kaila Ironhand

Please get your full character sheets to me so I can make your "perfect" counterparts.

Thank you to everyone who submitted! It was a hard choice!

Thank you so much!

Huzzah! Let the trail of discovery begin!

Let me know if you need anything more than what is in my profile, benevolent GM. :)

:) Once you have your "perfect" sheet from me, dot the gameplay thread and feel free to start chatting in the discussion up shortly!

For Favored Class Bonus, I'm using the Kitsune one that lets me add 1/6 towards an extra talent per level. (I think the Rogue bonus counts for Ninja as well, but if you say otherwise I'll just pick the HP bonus instead.)
How would I roll for hitpoints?

darn, I was so focused on making my own homebrew campaign that I missed this. Ah well, I'll be in your next campaign, whatever it is, Sanya.

Of course Gadget! :)
