Cooshee as an animal companion

Homebrew and House Rules

Hello everyone, I am running a game and I am having my players run classes from the Ultimate Multiclass Archetypes. One of my PCs is a Blood Hunter who gets an animal companion at lvl 4 (his current lvl). He is running an elvish female and mentioned that at lvl 4 he could get an animal companion. I want to run my game with some differences just to make it more enjoyable for my group. I am considering that the PC finds a Cooshee and helps it in such a way that the cooshee becomes attached (and becomes her animal companion), my question is, do I use the creatures normal stat block (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/magical-beasts/cooshee-T OHC) as shown in the link and how would I handle advances?

Thanks for any help and please refrain from statements such as "the animal is not on the list or it is not within the rules". I follow the golden rule of role playing since back in the late 70s, do what makes it fun for everyone and let your imagination soar.

Thanks :-)

This is really a homebrew question. If you aren't interested in answers such as "it's not on the list/within the rules", post in the correct forum. : )

The animal companion stat blocks only have a passing resemblance to their Bestiary entries. Since the cooshee is a third-party creature, you'll either have to use third-party resources or roll your own. If I were attempting this, my first attempt would be to check the differences between a Bestiary dog or riding dog and a cooshee, then applying similar changes to the animal companion stats for dog or riding dog to get the cooshee stats.

For what it's worth, there are third-party stats here.

Edit: Fixed link.

:-) Thanks a bunch, didn't see it in the list when I looked thru it. I think my friend is going to be really exited when she encounters it and bonds with it. She said she would like a wolf or something like that, but I think that an elven dog (since she is elven) would add a nice touch, and beside, the group has been doing really well in the role-playing section with each other :-)

Once again, thanks for the assist :-)
