Scarab Sages

I have been digging and digging, but I can't find the answer to this. The War Priest's Sacred Weapon power says, "Whenever the warpriest is wielding a sacred weapon, he treats his warpriest level as his base attack bonus for attacks made with that weapon..."

Does this mean, for example, that when a War Priest reaches 8th level, and gains two attacks, +6/+1, that he actually gains +8/+8 attacks as long as he is wielding his sacred weapon?

And that the additionally abilities of the sacred weapon are limited by his level--but not his BAB bonus?

At least that is how I read it.

No. Basically, what it means is that when wielding the Sacred Weapon, the Warpriest attacks at a Full BAB progression.

Note that this does not give him Full BAB for purposes other than attacking with the weapon (like CMD, for example.)

A level 6 Warpriest wielding his/her Sacred Weapon effectively has a +6/+1 BAB with that weapon.

It's a nifty mechanic. I'm thinking of making a Ninja/Warpriest of Yaezing that specializes in throwing Shuriken.

But the selection of Feats are based on his standard BAB and not his sacred weapon BAB?

Correct

They should go by the higher BAB for feats specific to use with that weapon though i think

To further clarify with your initial example OP, at level 8 a war priest wielding his sacred weapon would have an effective BAB of +8/+3.

At level 6 without the sacred weapon he would have a BAB of +4. With his sacred weapon he would have +6/+1.

Thanks.

Another question about Fervor--are the healing and harm touches considered "channeled energy"? Or not? Why? An Aasimar gains 50% more damage vs. Undead when channeling energy. So where does the Fervor land? Is it channeled energy, some other sacred power, or channeled energy, but it still can't be altered by other feats, traits, etc. that normally affect channeled energy.

Channel Energy is a specific ability (see: Cleric, Life Oracle). Those powers are not Channel Energy, therefore, they do not count as Channeled Energy.

If it is the FCB you are talking about, I think that is 1/2 a point of damage, so really it isn't worth it much. But, no Fervor is not Channeled Energy.

An Aasimar Cleric gets an extra 1/2 point of damage added to their Channel Energy when they use it to harm Undead (or Evil Outsiders via Alignment Channel).

So a 2nd level Cleric would add +1 to the damage, a 4th level Cleric +2, etc, not an extra +50% to all Channel damage.

An Aasimar Oracle of Life can count their effective level as 1/2 higher when using the Channel Revelation, so a 10th level Oracle could Channel as a 15th level Cleric.
