magic bow question on repair

I have a magic bow, we play with critical cards the card that was drawn was the string broke, to repair it does it need craft magic arms and armor, or just craft bows? Any advice on this would be awesome

I'd imagine a Mending spell cast by a 3rd level caster should suffice.

Those cards are tricky, and a lot of their "results" go against the normal rules of the game.

We use the cards as well. Honestly when it happened to me, I just had to re-string the bow which is a pain in combat.

It was a ruling we did for simplicity and the fact bow strings can break and I guess even ones on magic bows. We figured the bow was magical not the string as in the real world you do not leave your bow fully strung and might unstring it in order to protect the string from a sudden snap.

I guess it comes down to how complicated you want to make it. If it was the weapon broke i would agree on the more complex, but a string is usually easier to replace and might need to replaced sometimes anyways. Depends on your GM really.
