Piranha Strike with a rapier?

Can I still use this feat with my rapier? It's not really good to roleplay fencing with a Power Attack...

Is it just a "new form of...", or there is some difference?

Thanks for your answers!

Nope.

Light weapons only.

Nope; piranha strike is light weapon only, unfortunately. I have house-ruled it otherwise, but RAW it is not.

I'm frustrated. It needs some houseruling, realy.

So what is the difference between power attack and piranha strike? Only 13 STR requirment?

Why not? How you roleplay a feat is up to you. You can use the exact same visuals with Power Attack as you would for Piranha Strike.

In addition, you can qualify for the power attack feat tree. Bull rush can easily be utilized in a fencing style fighter. Dazing assault too.

Piranha Strike doesn't work with a Rapier any more than it works with an Elven Curved Blade. And the flavor of Power Attack with a Rapier is fine; a more forceful but less accurate thrust.
