Kingdom Leadership roles and Spriggans

Rules Questions

Kingdom Leadership roles give a bonus to the Kingdom based on the stats of the person in that role.

How do you treat a Spriggan that has 2 forms, due to a Supernatural ability.

Quote:

Size Alteration (Su)

At will as a standard action, a spriggan can change his size between Small and Large. Weapons, armor, and other objects on the spriggan’s person grow proportionally when he changes size (objects revert to normal size 1 round after a spriggan releases them). When a spriggan becomes Large, his speed increases to 30 feet, he gains +12 Strength, –2 Dexterity, and +6 Constitution, and he takes a –2 size penalty to his AC. While Large, a spriggan cannot use his sneak attack or his racial spell-like abilities (although if he possesses either from class levels or templates, he retains their use in both sizes).

So does the Spriggan use -

a) his small size stats,
b) His large size stats
c) Whichever is best
d) Whichever he spends the most time in?

Any help would be appreciated.

Shadow Lodge

This one is a matter of interpretation, but I'd go with (d) which should usually also be (c) for a character in a kingdom leadership role related to the ability, unless there's a good reason for the Spriggan to handicap him/herself.

Liberty's Edge

I'd go with whichever is best.

There are no official rules, though, given a lack of official 'Spriggan or similar creature as a PC' rules.

True, but given that NPCs also fufill leadership positions they really should cover stuff like this. :-)

The only creatures I can think of who do this without a spell or spell-like ability are Spriggans and Lycanthropes...which makes it a bit of a niche case.

There are probably some others, but they aren't common.

There's never going to be an official answer to this, but my answer is a modified d: whichever he spends the most time in for the seven days per month spent fulfilling kingdom leadership duties.

Sovereign Court

I'd say C. It'll be quietly assumed that you shift to the most effective shape when you have to perform leadership duties.

I prefer C because if you can use more than one ability to determine how well you do your job, you're also allowed to pick your best ability for that.
