Racial Boon Rumor

Pathfinder Society

Dark Archive

A rumor is going around our local society game store that there was a recent change or will soon be a change or there was a discussion of a change that will allow all players to have access to all races, including the more rare and exotic ones in the Advanced Races Guide. I have been searching about the interwebs, but honestly, I can't find much about the racial boons at all.

So hey, you guys probably know. Any weight to this rumor?

Nope, sorry to add to the bad news already delivered.

A rumor like this crops up every month or two that new races are opening up or some mystical and amazing boon is being released.

If you don't worry about it you will not be disappointed when its shown to be just a rumor.

Dark Archive 5/5

hahahaha.... no

that will never happen

Dark Archive

Oh wow. lol

I thought it might have some merit to it because it was one of the GMs talking, but I guess not!

Thanks for the help

And people who own Orcs of Golarion and the Advanced Race Guide aren't allowed to play their favorite race. And the people who will own Kobolds of Golarion and the Advanced Race Guide won't be allowed to play their favorite race. And whenever there is a gnoll, drow, duergar, or any other evil race, those people won't be able to play their favorite race. They won't ever be open for everyone to play.

This rumor sounds like a cruel April Fool's joke.

Was thinking this myself.

Then the evil part of me thought about starting rumours. Things like "During the lunar eclipse this year, when the moon is fully eclipsed over Seattle, for that time only, you can download a skinwalker boon from the Paizo website."

But I don't like April Fool's pranks.

I'm still waiting for my gremlin boon from...what, a year ago? Two?

After much discussion, left-handed characters will be allowed without a boon.

Debate still rages over authorizing red-headed characters. You will be notified when an accord is reached.

Eh?

Red Hair is way OP! I'll quit PFS forever if it's allowed. That's the final straw for me!

Blue-haired Ifrit it is, then.

meh, black hair needs an archetype to make it work, like frosted tips. Otherwise, it's crap.

Hey you! ^&*% you! My black hair is way more awesome than whatever cruddy color yours is! >:0

/sarcasm

But seriously though, black hair is awesome. :P

I took brown hair, with blonde highlights archetype. I lose the "generic" ability, but gain a bonus to disguise checks instead, which is a better appearance modifier imho.

Frosted tips? I went with frosted roots.

bah! You 1st ed. AD&D types had it easy - us real old school pre-Advanced players didn't even have a head, let alone a Bald Head trait!

(and you thought those Oozes were monsters? no, just old players!)

HeroLab says rainbow hair is legal, and the fact that I've seen people with handwritten sheets make mistakes before proves that it's right, so you have to allow it!

Can The Doctor have a boon? He's still not ginger, and he has saved the planet a few times, so it's the least we can do.

Frosted roots are something I can speak to.

frosted roots are stupid. it's the tips that break the hairstyle. You're just dumb for doing it any way but the right one.

If you really want to powergame though, just write down white hair. It'll get you free prehensile hair without having to take the archetype or hex or anything.
