Dark Archive

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Just met him at Monsterpalooza (in Burbank CA) around 10 minutes. Great guy, got a signed artbook from him. Discussed some of his artwork in Darksun and Book of Vile Darkness. Funny thing, this is primarily a horror effects and art con, whereas I immediately recognized his work from D&D.

Paizo or FGG - commission some work from this guy!

Anyway - going in to see a panel on the War of the Gargantuas.

They are talking to Haruo Nakajima - the person who was in the early rubber Godzilla suit (first movie and several after) and the Green Gargantua.

Just met Ed from Midnight Syndicate - super nice guy, again - most people associate them with the haunted house industry, but I am familiar with them via gaming and game soundtracks (they did an official D&D themed cd). We briefly discussed the use of music in games (he is a gamer) which was very cool and based upon that he pointed me to a few that would work for game sessions.

I come to this event every year, this was the first time I have encountered such a heavy rpg connection.

Picked up a few from MS - a brand new release called Monsters of Legend - a Universal Horrors homage.
