[PFS] Bladebound legal?

Unless noted otherwise in this guide, everything contained in the Core Rulebook (except artifacts, evil items, and intelligent items) is legal for Pathfinder Society play.

This is not my original question, but my first question lead me to find this. Can a Bladebound be played in Society with his Intelligent item?

Each black blade has a mission, and while sometimes two or more black blades will work in concert, each mission is singular in purpose (the black blade’s mission is usually up to the GM and the needs of the campaign or the adventure, or a GM can roll randomly for the weapon’s purpose using Table 15–25 on page 534 of the Core Rulebook). Some black blades are very open about their missions, but most are secretive.

If the first question is "yes, Bladebound can be played and have an Intelligent weapon" and the above is true, Would they get a special power from the Chart? Do you get to pick it? I would think the PFS coordinator would need to establish that everyone gets the same power.

I know it's legal. Don't know the details. However my friend, who is the VL for Vancouver Island's wife plays a bladbounde magus

Yes they are legal for play, just double check with Additional resources to see what (if any) changes are made to the class.

bladebound is definitely legal. I have one myself. As far as the mission, I think you are safe picking it yourself, but I would expect it not to provide any mechanical benefit, but just be for RP purposes.

As stated on the Additional Resources page, all archetypes from Ultimate Magic except broodmaster summoner, clone master alchemist, gravewalker witch, pack lord druid, master summoner, reincarnated druid, synthesist summoner, undead lord cleric, and vivisectionist alchemist are legal. So yes, you can play a bladebound magus.

The black blade will only get the powers described in the bladebound archetype. You don't get any abilities or special powers from the list in the Core Rulebook (because that part of the CRB is prohibited by the Guide).
As it is only descriptive, you may choose to actually make up an agenda for your black blade (like you also make up background and motivations for your character).

yup

Ok, poor choice of title for the thread. I know they are legal.

Wizards are legal even though the core books says they get Scribe Scroll. The guide replaces this "illegal feat" with Spell Focus. It was along this line of thought, combined with the Additional resources saying that Intelligent weapons are not allowed, that I thought it should be clarified.

If you do allow it, and you go to the referenced pages in the core book you can see you are supposed to roll on a chart for a power for intelligent weapons with a mission. Since this is not what was intended I figured they would have something clarifying how intelligent weapons worked in PFS.

On that note, once again all this was discovered while researching different questions I had: "In PFS, can my Weapon talk to me? to other players? WHat if I want to roleplay that?" I think it would be fun to have a picture of the weapon and hold it up in front of my face every time I was talking as my weapon. Having my character hold conversation with his weapon and trading back insults would be fun.

Roleplay it talking? Hell, my sword makes Intimidate checks to demoralize opponents. If it could take feats, I'd make it take Weapon Focus (Self) and Dazzling Display... :3

He fails a lot because his charisma is low and he takes a -4 penalty due to being smaller than the target. Hehe. He's an ornery little guy.
