Inquisitor of Minderhal?

Advice

So, a Kellid becomes an Inquisitor of Minderhal. Not unheard of, as the Kellids do worship him. Anyway, couple of questions on this god and the Inquisitor himself.

What Inquisitions would work with Minderhal?
Now, his portfolio is Creation, Justice, Giants, and Strength, while his Domains are Artifice, Earth, Glory, Law, Strength.

Subdomains are Construct, Devik, Ferocity, Metal, Resolve, Toil. Not a bad selection for a cleric as the domains are varied. Worth noting that evil is not there, so Minderhal definitely stresses justice and punishment more than the tyranny and evil of Asmodeus.

I think the following Inquisitions would work well with him based on a combination of his portfolio and his domains: Fervor Inquisition, Imprisonment Inquisition, Justice Inquisition, Order Inquisition, Persistence Inquisition, Torture Inquisition (maybe, let the punishment fit the crime. And he certainly had a hand in teaching the Runelords how to punish unruly giants), Zeal Inquisition.

Now, that's 7 total Inquisitions, way too many. So I'm gonna want to narrow it all down further. So, Imprisonment, Justice, Order, Persistence, and Torture. That's five, and honestly I think that's plenty. More than some, but Minderhal is many faceted as a god.

What about his favored weapon? It's just a hammer. Does that mean light hammers only? Or does it mean any hammer weapon (I choose one that I think represents a facet of my god and run with it to the end). Does that mean things like Earthbreakers, Tetsubos, Lucerne Hammers, and Dwarven Longhammers are possibilities?

What do you guys think overall? A sound possibility or am I missing something?

If it works the way I think it hope, it would mean I have a rather interesting Reachquisitor.

Scarab Sages

Based on Lamashtu granting falchion or kukri, I would treat it as light hammer or warhammer.

Tetsubos aren't hammers at all, Earthbreakers are Shoanti, Longhammers are dwarven, and Lucerne hammers are more spear than hammer.

I got the hammer Tetsubo thing from the Fighter Class Weapon Group. Figured I could throw that out there.

And how would a Lucerne Hammer be more spear than hammer? It's a blunt reach weapon, get's a bonus to sunder, and has hammer in it's name. Only thing it has in common with a spear is the fact that it's reach.

Scarab Sages

Sorry, thought it was p/b instead of b. It was basically from the real world weapon, which is a pike with the spear head crossbrace combined into a warhamer head. Either way, it's a stretch to say hammer includes any hammer like object. Deities grant one favored weapon, or in the case of Lamashtu, a choice of one out of two.

A choice of Warhammer or Light Hammer is fair and not overpowering, especially for a Giant deity that hasn't been worshiped by anyone except kellids or giants for 3000 years.

You're right, I looked at the Lucerne Hammer and saw that it was B/P not just B. Ah well.

What about the Inquisitions themselves? Any complaints on those? If he were a cleric, Glory would be an obvious choice domain for the spells alone (surprising for an evil deity. Honestly I think Minderhal should have been Lawful Neutral based on his portfolio and the majority of his domains, but so be it).

Liberty's Edge

The Inquisitions look fine. I wouldn't worry too much about the existing lists since they make absolutely no sense and indicate that whoever made them knew literally nothing about the Gods.

Don't forget the universal Inquisitions, either. Things like Conversion, that all Gods have access to automatically.

Oh I didn't forget. I just left them out. Those things, like you said, are stuff the gods have automatically, so it's not nearly that big of a deal.

Hmm, let's see. I can definitely work out a Warhammer/Shield based Inquisitor of Minderhal, or a Kellid Inquisitor that carries a Large Warhammer. Now THAT makes sense, thematically and rules wise. Pretty cool looking too.
