The First rules of the Aasimaar Society is you don't talk about the Aasimaar Society.

The second rule is you don't talk about the Aasimaar Society.

The third rule is meat free Fridays in support of our vegetarian brothers and sisters.

I thought I had you until I read rule 3... Well plaid sir.

Not rules, but I do have three steps to playing Aasimaars in PFS:

Step 1: Optimize using the Blood of Angels.

Step 2: The rest of the table has complaints that your race is OP

Step 3: These complaints go unvoiced as the rest of the table goes and buys The Blood of Angels. Repeat step 1.

1) But I traded away Darkvision...so I might need Daylight.

2) Arcane, actually. Even Mystery Cultist remains Arcane, since the base class was Sorcerer.

3) I guess I'm just a rulebreaker.

Rule 1: An Aasimar shall use Daylight or Lesser Age Resistance to brutally abuse the hilarious "SLA equals spellcasting" rules to obtain hilariously early entrance into Prestige Classes, such as Bloatmage at level 2, or Eldritch Knight at level 3.

Rule 2: An Aasimar shall take Scion of Humanity and Racial Heritage (Somethin' Crazy), only to be told that 99.9% of those options are invalid for PFS.

Rule 3: An Aasimar will be referred to only as "Assimar" or inexplicably mispronounced repeatedly as "Aasimir." Correct pronunciation or spelling of this most sacred of names is strictly forbidden.

I don't really get the whole "using daylight to qualify for eldritch knight" thing. none of the abilities of the class are useful for non-spellcasters, other than the "eldritch knight counts for fighter levels" prereq thing. Even the capstone only applies to spells.

sorry for the brief thread hijack.

You don't use it to "gain access" to Eldritch Knight.

You use it to get EARLY access to Eldritch Knight.

Like, 1 fighter/1 wizard/10 EK or the like.

Gee, many of my tablemates are really happy when that deeper darkness disappears in the area around the casting of my SLA. Even the ones with darkvision.

I thought rule number one was: purchase pathfinder companion blood of angels. Rule number two: use a variant aasimar heritage.

Depends entirely on what class you are playing. I'm thinking a Peri-Blooded Necromancer sounds good right now...

Rule number three is take the truespeaker racial trait and learn all the languages...

Psst. LAR is a level 4 spell when used as an SLA. It can't be used for Eldrich Knight or bloatmage.
