I'm not sure how else to get the message across that I'm not interested in seeing more AP's with a big influence of technology/sci-fi.
So I guess the only way is voting with my wallet. I hope others do the same so we get as little as possible of this sort of thing in the future. It will be interesting to see how popular something like this is going to be.
To everyone looking forward to this, please don't take offense. I hope you have fun with it.
Best of luck to you!

Or maybe I should just take a break from editing stat blocks for a while?
Grrr... Now you've got me thinking about Snow Crash again, and being angry at myself for never finishing The Diamond Age.
Also, if SKR is Raven, wouldn't that mean that he does certain, possibly legal(depending where you're at) but mostly illegal, things and gets a big-ol' knockout-needle right in the junk for it?

Sutter's stuff isn't that good.

IN any case, I subscribed to the current AP for the first time, so that I wouldn't forget to subscribe for Iron Gods. So, just in case Paizo is paying attention, you got six months of revenue JUST FOR ANNOUNCING IRON GODS.
So... MORE.

A few years down the line, Distant Worlds AP is announced.
Mikaze faints, Drejk and I get drunk.I would not faint.
...
I would stand out on the balcony of my open air bedroom, my hands resting upon the parapet as I gazed longingly at the infinite stars shining in the night sky and my hair flows in the cool breeze.
And behind me I hear the door open. Distant Worlds is there, its shirt unbuttoned. Its hair is flowing in the breeze too even though it's in the bedroom.
I run my hand through my hair. "I was worried you would never come." A tentative step forward.
Distant Worlds approaches with less hesitation. "You knew I couldn't stay away."
We are face to cover now. I shudder as it steps into the moonlight, the scent of packing styrofoam hanging thick about it. "I knew."
Distant Worlds places its hands on my shoulders and draws near, but then pauses. "But what about Wrath of the Righteous? And Mummy's Mask, and the others?"
"Shhhhh..." I place a finger upon its lips. "Allow us this one night. This one night under the stars."
Distant Worlds pulls me closer.
I whisper in its ear. "Take me to the stars. And tell me that you'll keep me safe from the terrible secret of space."
Distant Worlds begins to open its cover.
The stars shine in the night sky, but upon this earth upon that night, there was a supernova.
I was going to comment about the AP, simply because I like mixing sci-fi and fantasy, and then I read this post. This pure, unadulterated epic of awesome.
This post alone was worth clicking into this thread for.

This is hilarious, perhaps doubly so because I just finished rereading that book earlier today.

Yeah I had to do it. I cancelled my AP subscription.
I don't mind that this AP exists, but I don't have to buy it.
The next two ones looks a lot better though.
are you sure you want to do that?
They might be able to help with english pronounciation or at the least they can teach you to love:)

As someone who IS looking forward to this, I take no offense. In fact, I hope the next two "more traditional fantasy" APs, are something you look forward to. :)
Also, I don't know a better way then to get the message across that I am interested in seeing more AP's with a big influence of technology/sci-fi, other than buying the full AP, its tech guide, campaign setting guide, item cards, map and minis/pawns. I want MORE stuff so I can one day run a Pathfinder Dragonstar campaign! :)

Wooohooo!
Good catch.
Will this mean that we can expect big changes in the Golarion orcdom?

Well, I'm ashamed I hadn't noticed that before!
Looks like I'm holding onto my campaign setting subscription at least through December. Good to see Golarion's orcs will be seeing that sweet, sweet love they deserve. I can't help but feel a little jealous though. Why, if I had a chance to get to know some of those big, green l...
Right, right. Enough of that for now!

I thought about it myself, fantasy tech really isn't my thing, but I decided to keep my subscription. After skimming through book 1 I'm rather glad I did, while I don't think this would be an AP I'd be interested in DMing I think I might enjoy it as a player.
Try it, even if you are sceptically concerning the high tech.
IMO part 1 & 2 are, no matter if you like high tech or not, some of the best books written in the adventure path line.
I don't like the third one as much - saying it is "just" a good book.

If the other member of my group that DM's decides to run it I'm defintly gonna play. Already have a character concept in mind even. The first book looked pretty interesting so my interest has been piqued. A side note for all the GM's out there who are about to go off the rails because I've looked at a book before playing. My group has two players who alternate between GMing AP's, myself and another player. We both skim through the first book of an AP to see if we want to run the game. We try to get just enough info to see if we want to DM but not enough to metagame if we end up being a player.

I got into the thread just today...
There have been one or two of the APs that I was not really interested in but I also am kind of a completist and I do not want holes in my collection.
I was not hot on a pirate AP but I have them and who knows in the future. I choose to support Paizo because they make what I want and I am happy.
I have run several APs and played in three. I want to run waaaay more to include Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, the Giant Slayer AP, Shattered Star and Wrath of the Righteous.
I hope that Iron Gods is a big success and I really want the Distant Worlds AP. Even better I would love to have a few APs out there. One on the green planet, one on the red and others further out in the solar system. I have been saying this for years, Barsoom, Barsoom, Barsoom...
Keep up the good work.

i'm starting book 1 tonight, i thought my wife and kids wouldn't like it, i let them skim the book, they all said, separate of each other "why aren't we playing this!?!"
well actually my son, only being 3 said "I want to be a robot!"
we all want to be bad boy robots
