Anybody know where I can find the "old" living monolith PrC? The new one from "people of the sands" seems to have led to the dissapearance of the old one, and i wanted to compare the differences.
As far as I know Archives of Nethys hasn't updated in about three months so the old one should still be there.
You can choose between an ib and ka soul stone if you're a caster. If you're a martial you automatically get ka. If you pick ib you get spellcasting progression but lose greater and master ka stone. If you pick ka stone, you get Toughness all the time and full BAB from your Living Monolith levels when you're using enlarge person from the ka stone.
Note that "an ancient language" in d20pfsrd's prerequisites and "Ancient Osiriani" in Nethys' are the same. d20pfsrd has to remove Paizo's intellectual property, like the name "Ancient Osirion".
I believe Archives of Nethys updated quite recently, as the text of Living Monolith now looks different.
Before, it was just ka stone, martials lost BAB even when enlarged, and casties lost spellcasitng progression, as I recall.

I don't think that there was anything in the old version that isn't in the new one - the new one just added the ib stone options.

I believe you're right. The new one gets an attack bonus while enlarged though, so it's nearly the same. I suppose they didn't want to leave it as a full BAB class while advancing caster level.
Yeah, but considering the limited use one can make of the KA stone, it does reduce the usefullness to a full-bab character. In any case, does no-one remember the original source? It clearly isnt 3.5.
The old version was indeed full BAB. A fairly significant nerf to a class that didn't need to be nerfed to make it "caster compatible." Bugger that, casters already have enough. I refuse to give them one of the few nice martial PrCs too.
