Any ideas of when 5-23 is expected to drop? May or June I guess?

It would be a "June" scenario, but June scenarios have been lately held till PaizoCon, which is July 4th weekend. They have been dropping both June and July scenarios at that time the last couple of years.

Of course, since it would be added to your account, it should drop for you before it could be bought (i.e. maybe a week before PaizoCon). At least that's a reasonable guess IMO.

An easy schedule to prep for. It will feel good to be out of the rain.
But my skin will turn red, I'll be looking for a river bed and I'll be letting the horse run free after just the 4th session though. I would never make it for nine.

I will be coming across from the UK for Gencon and am rather hoping that someone will be running the complete Eyes of the Ten series.

EOTT not scheduled. You'll have to drum up a gm and other players for a side game. The scenarios scheduled are in the paizo blog.

So, a question (triggered by Totenpful's post)

For the requested extra scenario to be prepped, are there suggestions about what we should do? I am assuming that prepping a tier 1-5 would be a good idea (assuming more beginning players than anything else).

Should we tell Mike Brock what we'd like to prep (in case he needs to get it to us, or are we on our own for the extra scenario -- either way, I am fine, really)?

Since this is my first time doing this, I just wanted to make sure I knew what was expected of me... wanna do an exemplary job!

Even though we are running a bunch of slots of The Confirmation, it would still be a good one to get and prep for. Also perhaps a season 5 that's not on the schedule.

I myself will bring The Confirmation as a backup. Already ran it once so will be easier to do in case of emergency.

Liberty's Edge 4/5 RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

I figure I should always have Confirmation prepped anywhere I go at this point. Great for new players, good for the player who already has played everything, and allows for more adjustment than any scenario I've seen based on "random" encounter tables.

That would make the most sense.

The Confirmation would definitely be good. May have to get the map pack that it uses, so that I can reduce the travel size of that scenario. I'll likely have one more (other than that) ready, given that I've already run A Bitter Bargain, and will likely have run several of the other ones by the time that Gen Con comes around.

Was just checking.

Silbeg wrote:

Since you said before this is your first GenCon, I just wanted to emphasize this point you made. There is no good place to store your stuff out of slot times, and during slot times you need to keep it all at your table (along with all the players' traveling gear).

Getting your stuff to fit at the table was one of the top priorities I had after my first GenCon travel experience. You may get lucky and have an extra chair to put stuff on, but I pack my GenCon load out so that when stored it fits entirely under my seat (including the collapsible 2 wheel dolly I have).

There's not a lot of room between tables when the hall is full, so folks running for a restroom break or what have you will get close to the table, so things sticking out can get tripped over/stepped on.

For me, after making sure to hydrate for your voice, this was the number one take away from my first GenCon experience.

Grand Lodge 5/5

Sniggevert wrote:

+1 to this. The best you can hope for is that you have a friend or someone you at least moderately trust not to steal your stuff) who is still playing 'watch' it by setting it near their table while you run off to do whatever.

Alternatively, you could just leave it unattended at a table. I, and several other people, did this last year for lack of somewhere to put everything. It worked out well enough in that none of our stuff got stolen, though I dont suggest actually doing this. All of your stuff going missing it going to make your day suck pretty quickly.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 5/5 RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 8

If you are comfortable with it, you can also free up space by standing while you GM. This will give you the chair provided as a pseudo-table, well suited for your backpack, books, and extras.

I'll definitely take any advice that the veterans have to give me. I want this to be a great experience for myself, and my players. However, I'll probably create a new thread (so as not to derail this one too much).

I'm taking both Paizo Con and Gen Con as fun cons this year and am only volunteering a small amount of my time.

This is both due to re-energize myself, and because my Wife is attending Gen Con with me, and I don't want her to wander around alone as I GM the entire thing.

Not so much a challenge, but a statement of fact based solely on empirical evidence. As much as the little guy tries to get killed, it just hasn't happened. And he's level 8 and been on the slow track for most of it.

We're short a cleric this time around, but do have a paladin. I can talk to the crew. It's a matter of finding someone willing to put up with goblin shenanigans and try to keep him alive despite the GMs (and my) best intentions.
Note that Yaezhing is a Lawful Evil deity of Murder and excessive Punishment. My "Paladin" is actually an Oracle. No channeling, but divine casting at least.

Is he a....peripatetic paladin of Yaezhing?

I really, really hope my table is close enough to hear the insanity bound to occur from all of this

I cannot agree with you more on that! In fact, I would LOVE the opportunity to run that table, though I am sure there are for more experienced GMs that would be more likely to get the chance. So, being near would be cool (but distracting, I am sure).
