I am looking for an Application Developer or other individual with the right knowledge base to help me answer a question, please.
I run a couple of games here using a re-imagined version of the Appendix “A” tables from the original Dungeon Master’s Guide.
What I am wondering is this, is it possible to design an application (android, or otherwise) that would reproduce the effects of those tables something like this.
The App would allow the user to select a “starting “Area” then “tap” an exit, a pop up die 20 would appear, you tap it, and the results is show to you in text format, as well as the feature generated appears on the map. Then if the feature that was generated requires more rolls, those dice appear, with a text explaining what is being asked, and you tap those die to finish off the process. When you come to an end of a passageway, you tap it and once again, the d20 appears (the Periodic Check Table, also known as Table I) and you keep building.
I would want the App to keep a reviewable log of the rolls made, and have that keyed to a grid reference overlaid on the map as it is being generated.
Is something like this buildable?
