Are Legendary Game products official stuff?

Hello, I bought Ultimate Battle of Legendary Products. While it's sold here at paizo, I'm not sure it's official stuff.

Nothing by a Pathfinder Third Party Publisher (3PP) is "official" in the sense that it's sanctioned by Paizo. Only products actually published BY Paizo are official in that sense. For instance, only official Paizo material is legal for PFS play.

However, many of the big 3PP companies (Legendary Game, Kobold Press, Rogue Genius etc) are run by and/or use writers, game designers, artists that also work for Paizo and are every bit as balanced and well designed as Paizo stuff.

The Paizo store sells lots of non Paizo stuff, including plenty of Pathfinder Third Party Publisher products.

In any case, as long as something has the Pathfinder RPG compatible logo, it is designed to be used with Pathfinder. It really depends a bit on how exactly you define "official"

Does that help?

What Marc said. :)

Our stuff (and everyone else's) isn't official in the sense of being legal for Pathfinder Society or, nor in being produced by Paizo per se. At Legendary Games we are very intentional about inviting members to our team who have already earned their stripes working on official Paizo products, so we know our contributors have the skills and experience required to produce official content. What they create for us is by definition "unofficial" but we'd like to think the level of quality they produce for us is undiminished from what they produce for the golem.

what I mean is: can I use a Feat of Legendary Games with a Pathfinder Society character? I suppose no.

Nope. That's what we meant by "not PFS legal"

Only Paizo material is legal for PFS play (and actually, even some Paizo stuff is not legal ... )

If it does not appear in the Additional Resources List, (and none of Legendary Game's products do) you can't use it. Learn to reference that list, because not even everything put out by Paizo is legal for PFS play.

Yep. PFS is designed around certain core assumptions about what the play experience will be like, and things that can throw that out of whack, like cohorts, magic item creation, animal companions, feats or traits that grant extra money to low-level characters, and those kinds of things are usually tightly regulated or entirely disallowed. There are plenty of examples of things in Paizo products that don't fit the PFS model, and reference to any 3PP products are almost nonexistent, because there's really no way they could possibly keep up with the flow of 3PP product and content out there to evaluate it and approve it for organized play.

In your home game, though, by all means bring it on!
