I'm a little confused on how to figure crit damage. I always thought it was just the weapons base damage that was multiplied, but the book says to roll damage more than once, with all usual bonuses, and add rolls together.
.
Example: +3 Flaming Great Sword wielded with a 20 Str
Crit damage: 6+1d6(fire)+4d6+14
Is this correct?

I think they do that to avoid confusion when adding in damage that doesn't get multiplied (such as Sneak or element dmg added to a weapon).
If I simply multiplied, I might make the mistake of multiplying what shouldn't be. Or if I just rolled a 2d6 sneak attack with a short sword, which of those 3 dice was the short sword?
Player: "I roll my damage. 6, 1, 2"
GM: "Which of those was the short sword damage?"
Player: "Oh the 6, of course." <grin>
