Shadow Lodge

When something says it deals 1d6 + per 2 levels does this mean at second level i get 1d6+2?

No; you always round down. You won't get 1d6+2 until 4th level.

No. 1d6+1. You get 1d6+2 at 4th level, 1d6+3 at 6th, etc.

Yes, this does mean that your sorcerer's bloodline power is disappointing.

No. At second level it'd be 1d6+1. It'd go up to 1d6+2 at 4th, 1d6+3 at 6th and so on, up until the maximum as described in the spell or ability description.

Some powers do say "N/2, minimum of 1" to avoid being useless at first level.

ok just confirming

Just to clarify, at 1st level it does 1d6 + 0 unless there is the caveat that it would be a minimum of 1.

You would get 1d6 + 1 at 2nd level, 1d6 + 2 at 4th and so on...

Most such effects say "plus one for every two levels beyond the first", meaning that the intent is for them to start at +1 and go up by 1 every two levels, not actually count your total number of levels.

The class powers (Sorcerer's come to mind) that can be used for x number of days specifically is a min of +0, it is they that most likely have this type of structure. I have, in the past, made the assumption that it was +1 and the error was pointed out to me in game.

Silent Saturn, "plus one for every two levels beyond the first" means it goes up every odd level. 1, 3, 5, etc.

It really depends on if the design is odd or even level based.
