New Lodges

I thought I would start a thread based on the new Vanity "Pathfinder Lodge" in the Pathfinder Society Primer. I have purchased it for one of my charactes, and thought a list of all the new lodges would be a good idea.

I've paid the prestige, and earned the title VC through a set of mods as a boon(since i don't rememeber how to add a spoiler I will refrain from naming it).

If this vanity will be handled in a differt way later I will renounce my claim, but by my reading of the additional resources, this seems ok. Please correct me if I am wrong.

So:

Venture Captian Zanger Marsh has started a new lodge in my homeland Osiron, in the city of Shiman-Sekh. I have built the lodge to study the "Song Pharaoh." As a bard I believe the pharaoh, could have been one as well and I am looking for proof to confirm this theory.

I have a character ready to play that certain set of scenarios, but can't recall what the prestige cost is for their own Lodge. Could you refresh my memory, please?

Knight Captain Shahorn Milner of the Eagle Knights of Andoran awaits the day he can establish a lodge which has no location other than the wilderness of the sea. The lodge will be composed of a flotilla of ships, always travelling to bring freedom and justice to the shores, as well as transport Pathfinders on their missions.

Brilliant. I had misplaced my copy so couldn't look it up. Thanks.

The Exchange 4/5

I have completed the same set of scenarios and earned the boon as well.

I have my lodge on a ship on Akatosh, to establish a Pathfinder Society Presence on that world so that we could begin exploring the wonders and ruins of that planet and extend the Pathfinders influence to potentially include races from that world.

Here is the boon for reference:

Pathfinder Lodge (50 PP): The Decemvirate gave you the go-ahead to found your own lodge outside of Absalom. While in the same nation as your lodge, you may requisition one or more lower-ranked Pathfinders to assist you for a short time. At the beginning of an adventure, you gain 10 temporary Prestige Points you can spend only on purchasing follower vanities. At the end of the adventure, the followers return to their normal duties, and any unspent temporary Prestige Points are lost. If your character holds the title of venture-captain, this vanity costs only 25 PP.

I've put my lodge in the Cinderlands, as a research center. Been reporting into the Ten every few weeks or so.

About to have a second character establish his lodge as an exclusive private school in Osirion (He's still considering where).

How would one go about determining the name of said set of scenarios?

Amradorn, you would play through them and be surprised.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I look forward to moving into Nerosyan once the Ten approve my request.

I have added a new lodge in Isarn, Galt.

Silver Crusade

I'm considering establishing my lodge on a demiplane via the Create Demiplane spell.

After reading the benefit, it seems it would be nil, other then the idea of having my own lodge on my own demiplane.

Do you have the boon to use the Tapestry between Absalom and another location? Might help with the efforts there.

there already is a lodge in nerosyn.. just may want to be aware of that.

Messa Flutterfoot is the new VC of the Flying Flutterfoot Family Circus and Traveling Pathfinder Lodge, coming soon to a location near you (assuming you are somewhere in Varisia)!

Note that not all of the Flutterfoot circus troupes are Pathfinder Lodges, but they will all be willing to get you into contact with VC Messa.

That one's already got a perfectly capable VC. More competent than half the VC's out there, I daresay, despite her recent appointment.

I cant wait to be a adventure captin and then I can make a new pathfinder house like either making a great-grand-lodge or go to that place near cheliax with the shadows and make a new shadow lodge there to help all the pathfinders like grand mister torch taught me.

Crusher maybe no retire to private island. Maybe no buy 10 inns in Absolom. Maybe Crusher make Pathfinder lodge in middle of Worldwound. Best lodge ever. All demon fighting all the time. Who care if Worldwound open if all demons come out and get Crushed by CrusherLodge.

Motto of CrusherLodge: We Crush you now. Then dinner time.

I would just like to state, that Galt sucks and that The Decemvirate is rigged. ;)

EDIT: No disrespect to anyone who put their lodge there. But if you know why this boon exists, the previous statement makes sense. :)

Liberty's Edge 5/5

I'm waiting for approval of my lodge by the ten, but I seek to open a lodge in Niswan

Actually, VC players (as in, people who are campaign regional coordinators) don't get a break - your PC needs the in-game boon that grants you a V-C title to qualify for the discount.

Jarl Rukk, Linnorm-Slayer, is considering establishing a lodge in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

A lodge high in the Kodar Mountains would probably be the best fit. His orcish heritage would help with relations with the Belkzen orcs on the border, and the constant threat of death from the native monsters would prevent him from ever growing soft.

I would think "growing soft" would be directly related to how long the monster chews on him, wouldn't it?

Jarl Rukk is too tough to be softened by chewing, I bet he considers most things that chew him to be tickling, including but not limited to such monstrosities as a briarborn juggernaut.

Oh and on topic, Silver Crusader Jonas Vividsun, Evangelist of Gorum, is considering trying to establish a lodge in his home town of Kaer Maga.

I suspect he'd taste more like gristle. Burned, scarred, blood-stained gristle.

I survived the trample,

spoiler:
it was an arrow from one of the elves that knocked me into the negatives.
. If I could have lasted 1 more round, I think I could have easily finished the thing off.

It was kind of scary, though, seeing as my inquisitor is level 10 and that was the first time I can remember him going into negatives.

Big old centipede tangent:

We had a bit of trouble killing the bugger.
I think the trample damage was somewhere in the 50's, followed by a few rounds of beatdown where Rukk took ~30-50 damage a round. We did slap a bestow curse on the guy though, so he only got to act half the time.

When all was said and done, Rukk had taken about 250 damage by the end of it. After DR had been applied, of course.

More on topic: Where else do we have lodges? I'm curious to hear about other seasoned Pathfinder's retirements!

Knowing there would veeery likely never be a mechanical benefit, I choose to place my lodge in Elysium. My rationale is that if I can have it anywhere its going to be in heaven. I havent officially decided on a name yet but it hasn't come up for some reason... probably because I dont get a lot of visitors.

The hand-basket lodge?

Grand Lodge 4/5

Assuming she survives EoTT, Cindrana (Lady of the Rods) would most likely set up somewhere in Varisia. Riddleport perhaps. (Set up a Tattoo parlor and have the actual lodge as a Demiplane like someone suggested. I can even picture it. A nice demiplane with a nice sunny Osirini style house with organe grove in the back)

The Exchange 2/5

Jessamine has set up Dawn's Edge lodge near Omash in Qadira (conveniently near the border with Taldor, btw, for any persecuted adherents of Sarenrae who might wish to seek sanctuary....)

I believe her friend Diya has set up somewhere near the border of Geb...and her friend Renshalla is in the Mwangi expanse.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Atreus Starslayer has established his lodge / retirement villa on the Island of Jalmeray. He splits his time between overseeing matters here and instructing students at the Acadamae in Korvoso. He also occasionally enjoys a trip to the moon.

Posting as Venture-Captain Filraen Ghaun; VOs can't use aliases on the PFS boards.

"Since my return from Mhar Massif, I have decided to spend my considerable wealth and accumulated political influence in Cheliax to re-establish the Pathfinder Lodge in Westcrown. As Delvehaven is no longer open to us my tower will have to suffice as a makeshift Lodge until such time as the manor is reclaimed."

"Regrettably, I will not be able to handle the day to day operations of the Lodge with my commitments to the Acadamae and my work on Mhar Massif, but I leave them to my protege, who I expect shall soon be a Venture-Captain in his own right (assuming he survives Eyes of the Ten). He will undoubtedly manage the Lodge well; he was one of Torch's errand boys, after all, and remains amusingly committed to the well-being of field agents."

Honestly he probably won't have enough prestige to do this anyway. 25 is a lot for him as he is going into Eyes with only 14 =(

How long did it take Amara Li to establish the Lantern Lodge in Goka? Like 2 years/seasons if not longer? It seems to me like most pathfinders who retire with lodges of their own take much less time than that. (50pp divided by 1.5pp/games per week = 33 weeks). So in as little as 8 months of adventuring could potentially turn a newbie boot-licker into a prestigious and honorable Lodge Owner/VC.

I wonder why it took Amara Li 24 months. I guess being a faction leader is a thankless job.

When you hand out the missions all the time you don't get the prestige for them.

Ah, but if one takes in-setting time into account, that estimation no longer applies. Time spent recovering, time used work your craft(Profession check takes a week) and especially time spent in transit all apply: Two weeks to get to Garund, several monhts to Tian Xia(iirc, 7 months to Goka) and that's not counting the return trips.

These days, of course, there's the tapestry. Not sure if that's available to everyone though.

The Exchange 3/5

The graceful, wiry, and just plain ugly tiefling Venture-Captain before you is covered in tattoos and scars, and wears a moderate number of ioun stones embedded within his flesh. Despite his fierce appearance, he has the bearing of an explorer and scholar every bit as much as the obvious warrior within.

"Though it required considerable effort on my part, I have finally convinced the Decemvirate of the potential merit of further exploration within The Darklands. I was born within those lightless depths, and dwelled there for decades before journeying to Avistan's surface. Few Pathfinders know the wealth of ancient secrets and magics buried there, or the dangers that lurk within, so well as I."

He pauses a moment to breathe a satisfied sigh of accomplishment before continuing.

"The Deep Lodge lies some three and a half thousand feet below Andoran's surface, on The Darklands level known as Sekamina. It is most easily reached via teleportation magic, but a courageous Pathfinder skilled in climbing and swordplay who is willing to brave it's depths can reach the Lodge traditionally as well...should they know where to look. Fortunately, my relationship with the local Svirfneblin is strong. Their Lord General agreed to allow me to place the lodge near one of their hidden cities, and their architects were instrumental in assisting me with it's construction. I look forward to seeing what we will accomplish and uncover from the depths."

Looky here boy, the gods do not send ya a warnin to pick up your entire species and get the heck out of a place and fight your way through 14 armies of orcs to get away from it fer no good reason. There's something wrong down there. And if you stay too long you're gonna wind up wrong too, just like everything else .

The Exchange 3/5

Venture-Captain Val Morik makes a point of employing his prehensile tail upward toward one of the small horns which crown his head.

"Some would say I was born wrong, Dwarf. I know the history of your people's Quest for Sky. I know also that many of your people later attempted to return to their ancestral homes. Was it in fact Torag's will that your people find the surface? Or did something else entirely desire for you to believe such? What is the truth of such things I cannot say. Seeking that truth, as well as others, is purpose of this lodge...though such is certainly not for novice Pathfinders."

That's not what I've heard, but I'd welcome a colleague now that my request was approved.

Grand Lodge

Venture Captain Phinneous Phest has decided to turn his caravan into a sort of mobile lodge, called The Lantern Road. The purpose of this lodge is to smuggle... ummm... i mean transport... yeah, transport... Pathfinder agents into locations where they may not be welcome. The Lantern Road will also facilitate the transfer of more "sensitive" cargo from the nation of origin back to the Grand Lodge.
