Cleric - Core - More actions / turn

Advice

Trying to plan out my new cleric for a Core-only campaign.

Other than the obvious Quicken feat/rod, I'm struggling with increasing my actions/turn.

Are there any magic items/feats that I am missing that are Core to increase my actions/turn?

You might want to look at the Reach Cleric guide. It's a build that doesn't increase your actions, but it does let you attack and cast by making good use of AoOs and Reach weapons to deny space.

+1 to a reach build- it does increase your action economy because it lets you use your standard action to cast or channel and then you also get to attack thanks to generating attacks of opportunity.

the animal domain also helps- at 4th you gain an animal companion... without access to Boon Companion it will never be as effective/durable as a druid's but it does get its own whole turn worth of actions on top of your normal round worth of actions.

a cohort- leadership is the single most powerful feat in the game (and its core); if your GM allows it, take the feat or the nobility domain... at 7th level (with decent Cha) you get a whole second 5th level character with his/her whole own turn (and you can push it even farther by having your cohort be a druid or a class with a familiar for a 3rd round worth of actions)

Core? Meaning core rulebook only or advanced race guide / ultimates / etc included?

Core, as in Core Rulebook only.

Yeah, reach build is the best Core way to get to cast and attack within the same round.

There's also the Quick Runner's Shirt, which lets you use your swift action to take a move action once a day.

Beyond that, well... You can't have a lot of actions in one turn. It's only one turn.

As they said above, check out the Reach Cleric build. Here's an example of typical low level combat actions for a low level Reach Cleric. The above example shows how to increase action efficiency with this approach.

The guide is Sticky at the top of this Advice forum, in Guide to the Class Guides.

Yea, I've read the Reach Cleric. I'm more looking for anything regarding speeding up spells or channels.

But I guess I'm basically stuck with Quick rods and Reach.

Thanks everyone!

There's Quick Channel, which lets you channel as a move action. It's great for the moment of truth when it's all going to heck and it's up to you save things.

take leadership...
you want to speed up spells/channels? have your cohort be a lower level member of your order (another cleric, or a life oracle or inquisitor if you add advanced players guide at any point)- have him/her cast a cure spell or channel (free for you), and you still have your turn to do whatever you want.
