sure.. you can jump in.
most cons will have someone who can help build a character.
and welcome to the party....
Thats awesome news! I would read the book, but my flashdrive has vanished into the ether and refuses to return. I would just stick the core rulebook and the guide on there and read them at school. Because for some reason my school has insanely fast computers

When there is time, yes. Depending on the event it may not be possible, though - if I announce a PFS game and someone shows up demanding help to create a character I would show him the door. Or hand him a pregen and tell him to ask me later because now is not a good time.
If you use a flash drive I strongly recommend not putting your PDFs on there without some kind of security measure, even if it's something simple like putting it into a .rar-File with a password.
If it gets stolen and the contents get uploaded somewhere your account might be suspended since your name is on them - so be careful!
Another tip: I suppose you could put the Guide to Organized Play onto a flash drive and bring it to a copy shop to print it.
Also: You could always try to read them on your computer. Foxit Reader and Adobe Reader are not too bad, and the Core Rules can be downloaded split into chapters (so the files are smaller).

I am using Adobe. My computer has one gig of ram. Thats why I need a flashdrive. Trust me I wouldn't be that rude. I would probally ask someone if I am doing everything correctly and speak in nothing more than a wisper because I am shy and gigantic crowds are quite intimidating. I would password protect the files. Everything I own that can be password protected is password protected. I could do that. But I have a working printer at my school and a copy machine. I can just ask to print out somthing and my math teacher would eat it up because she thinks pathfinder is awesome (NUMBAHS EVERYWERE ERMAGERD). I actually got so fustrated earlier trying to find my flashdrive I actually yelled at my guinea pigs lol.

Interesting question about that point: Could that teacher be talked into actually reading into the rules and maybe start something like a roleplaying club at your school?
That would give you an opportunity to play regularly and it could get more people interested in the game. (Lots of people don't even know about RPGs, some parents might even think it's bad. Having a teacher promote the game and offering it as a club at school would certainly convince parents that it's a good hobby for their kids.)fine_young_misanthrope Venture-Agent, Michigan—Jackson |

only issue is I don't own the game. I own the core rulebook. Not the actual game. I am also flat broke. We do have the ACG going as an elective. But they cut the amount of time we have down to a half hour and once a week. Meaning I could barely make ONE char let alone three AND play the game. I would host it at my house. Main issue is that one of our players lives across town. Soooo my principal has managed to eff us over in three million ways. I used to attend a boys and girls club. Then I realised that the only person there that would be interested in it was a fat kid who is highly annoying. I ended up quitting needless to say. You would think that my principal would be willing to bend over backwards to add in an afterschool program about numbers, reading, and not being a complete butthead to the other players. :/
