is a 25 CMB bonus to much at level 7?

I'm currently about to start playing the third book of the Skull & Shackles. My cleric died a glorious death, and for the next AP I'm rolling up a monk/fighter maneuver specialist.

My CMB for various maneuvers after items at level 7 looks to be around 20-25 after all items/abilities are taken into account.

Are these numbers where I should be expected to be at this point? or am I going to "break the game" with CMB numbers this high? I just want some advice without spoiling the AP.

I ask, because I don't want to frustrate my GM to much, but I don't want a character ineffective at what he does either.

CMB= 6(bab) + 6 (strength) + 2 (lore warden) +4 (trip feats) + 1 (bred for war trait) + 1 (amulet of mighty fist) + 2 (wayfinder with dusty rose) + 1 (weapon training) +2 (brawling enchant).

attack bonus= 16/14
damage= 1d6 + 10 (14 with power attack)


To elaborate on my clerics death:

he flew over the longships attacking us with a bag full of alchemist fire. He was shot down and fell 60 feet onto their deck, with all 25 bottles of alchemist fire exploding on their ship where he landed. Needless to say he was cremated as a result, but not before taking the entire ship down with him. Gorum was made proud that day :D


Honestly wouldn't say so. If your whole class' deal is combat maneuvers, then I don't see why they should be less than great at that one thing.

Absolutely.

Carnage, recklessness and an awesome explosion? I'll bet Gorum, Cayden and Blackfingers were all proud of him!


Looking at a selection of creature in the CR 10 range I noted that they are all between 30 and 40. That means you will be effective against creatures of APL+3 and near automatic against APL +0 creatures. That is not game breaking. If your party gives you bonus to hit regularly (haste, bless, prayer) then it might get frustrating for him but you are using resources to do it.

Your damage and to hit a bit low if anything so not really and issue there.

Do you have Greater trip and vicious stomp plus combat reflexes?

If you do then it might be push towards frustrating but with so many things having bonus against trip or immunity if should not be to bad.
