A heroic death?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

I've been playing a two player campaign with a friend of mine who is using Ezren. After closing three locations (and taking a fair bit of damage) my friend encountered Black Fang. Black fang immediately gave him three acid damage, leaving him unable to draw up to his full hand size if he made it to the end of his turn. Fortunately he killed Black Fang, but my question is- does the game end right then or does he need to complete his turn?

In other words, did my buddy just heroically die killing a dragon?

If Black Fang fails to escape then the game end right there and then and you don't have to draw your hand back up. In otherword battered but still with the living.

I encountered the same when playing as Ezren. We played it like agraham2410 said. We were so happy that after several attempts we made it barely alive. Somehow Black Fang managed to keep himself hidden in the last location and was one of the last encounters.
We really enjoyed this scenario.

A heroic victory and Ezren survives to tell the tale.

The turn ends with the game ending. Therefore you never get to the step where you have to refill your hand. Congrats you win and can go on to play another scenario.

Thanks folks! Loving the game so far. I'm currently in the middle of three different campaigns!

Don't forget to download the character sheets so you can keep track of each PC's character deck and how far along they are.
