Can you tell us if all 32 made it in under the wire?
And best of luck to the other 31!!

Thanks Sean! It's going to be a loooooooong wait.
*rubs hands together*
Eeeeexcellent.
I hope you guys will give us some Clark-esque tidbits at the appropriate times.
(And I REALLY hope you post Round 3 rules soon.)
Best of luck, top 32! May the best designer win!

Everyone made it in! There were a bunch in there yesterday, and this morning when I woke up 2/3rds of the entries were turned in.
I don't know if I can wait until Tuesday! I am already giddy as a school girl...What does that saying mean exactly?

That's awshum!
Here's hoping for magic and somehow graduating from alternate.
Past my selfish wishes, best of luck to all contestants.

It's okay, Rob! We can battle it out on Wednesday in the Alternate Foyer!
But for the moment, I'm going to unclench and stop obsessively consider encounters. Good luck to all the entrants!

I was submitting my beastie four minutes before deadline with an anime yell, so I appreciate knowing it made it. :)
Good luck to everybody!!*
*... including me!
Good luck, all. I'm expecting a boatload of awesomeness.
I'm looking forward to this! Monster rounds are always the most fun for me.
I am still fretting over my little beastie even though he is already submitted. I just hope everyone loves him as much as I do! Go, lil beastie, go!!!
Awesome. Great job everyone! Really excited for the turnout!

Given I'm currently reading the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfield, thanks to this quote I am now imagining the Paizo offices being swarmed by little fabricated monstrosities. Go on you little abominations of nature!
Why the long wait for these to be revealed? Is it so the judges have a say before we see them? Seems like a looong time to wait.
Oceanshieldwolf wrote: Why the long wait for these to be revealed? Is it so the judges have a say before we see them? Seems like a looong time to wait. Yes, it is so the judges can read and review each item, then give their recommendations as to which they feel should advance.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's monsters! It's definitely something I want to get good at, so seeing other people's creations will be very beneficial. Good luck all! :)
I hope everyone remembered the "must eat gnomes" requirement.

I got through a portion of them today between other work duties, and part of my weekend plans involve finishing the rest. There's some cool stuff coming up for Round 2.
I am really excited to see what everyone's made!

So are you judges going to tease us with breakdowns of creature types, CRs, etc. of the monsters before they're revealed?
Joseph Kellogg wrote: So are you judges going to tease us with breakdowns of creature types, CRs, etc. of the monsters before they're revealed? Ohhhh, awesome idea!
Good luck! I'm looking forward to Tuesday.
And the Top 32 take a collective sigh of releif. As do their loved ones. :)
Won't be long now.

The bone she throws could be sharp and pointy if you do!
Something like how of the 25 I've gone through so far, only two of them are CR 1? Spoilers like that?
Yes. Spoilers exactly like that.
Also: Thanks for the heads up Mike and Adam. 32 monsters is still a lot to go through I guess - thinking about it more, commenting on the Top 32 items took a while, and I didn't even write much for most of them….
32 plus three alternates, so 35.
I've stopped my judging for the evening and have 7 more left. I'm rewarding myself with a fine adult beverage and don't want that to affect the final 7 I have waiting for me.
I've been going through them in the order that they were submitted, so you early birds have already been dealt with. :)

Yeah, you wouldn't want an adult beverage to affect the judge. Errr waitaminute?!? How many beverages? seven? nine?
I think he has read to many monster entries today.
It excites me that you're reading the alternates.
Pirate Rob wrote: It excites me that you're reading the alternates. One of the coolest things about being an alternate was getting privet feedback from the Judges on that second round entry. I learned a lot from my monster entry that no one ever saw...and probably won't since it was that bad.
Oh, if only I could see behind the curtain. I feel a little robbed I didn't get a sneak peak at the Top 32.
But come Tuesday, we'll all be in on the second round. Good luck to all of you!
Pirate Rob wrote: It excites me that you're reading the alternates. I have no idea how it works this year, but back in 2011 I got an email from Ross Byers 20 minutes after the round 2 voting was opened. Even if you don't advance, you get a lot of useful feedback. You might even get teasers about future products... :)
Anyway, I look forward to seeing all the R2 entries!

Since no e-mail ever came, I figured there were gonna be some changes this year... and then, BAM! New judges for each round! I guess four more people commenting on the entries would have been overkill. :)

I also miss the four extra first-round judges/commentators. I hope Paizo reinstates that for the future, since I think that's a nice perk for the Top 32 and helps spur conversation for the items.

And... I'm done with my reviewing!
There are some really fun monsters in this round.
Now I just have to figure out the best way to format my comments. They were somewhat stream-of-consciousness.
